I wondered about that when the talk of an audit started. If they are, it's not moving the price of gold much. I looked this morning to see what the premium above spot is, it seems to be a little over $100 to buy, I don't know what premium under spot is to sell, but I'd bet it's not much. A couple years ago, my dealer actually paid me OVER spot for a monster box (500 oz) of Canadian silver maples. Solly loves seeing me, whenever I'm in there he's making money. When I sell, he probably has the metal turned around before I get my seatbelt on to leave. Sometimes when I'm in the neighborhood to visit Sling Blade and the Squirt, if I have time, I'll stop in his shop just to say, "Hi." I'll bet that ruins his day. LOL! I had a buddy that was interested in buying gold from me, but I don't know what I'd do with the money. It'd raise some eyebrows at Chase showing up with $60k in cash or check. I've had enough problems with them filing SARs and trying to de-bank me a couple years ago. I think my computer illiterate buddy should look at BitCoin. His wife knows plenty about computers, she used to work for a logistics company before Prez Pedo's lockdowns closed the company putting it into BK. She ended up taking early SS retirement like I did. She would've been handy when nurse McMurphy went back to Lithuania. As it was, Aleena's container got lost for six months under the guiding hand of Mayor Pete Buttplug. At least she got to see her family for the first time in a dozen or so years before the mandated clot-shots caught up to her two weeks after she got home.
