Steve Witkoff was a real estate lawyer who met Donald Trump through a real estate deal. They became friends at a New York City deli, after they having worked together on a business deal. The Muslims laughed at how Witkoff, a Jew, manhandled Netanyahu. He made progress with Putin. And his power is that he speaks for Trump. He is for peace with Russia and hopefully with Palestine.
If there is peace in the Ukraine and Palestine, I would nominate Steve Witkoff for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Steve Witkoff was sent to Russia on February 11th. He met with Putin and also with Kirill Dimitriev, the head of Russia's $10 billion Direct Investment Fund. He set the record straight on the Russian economy and sanctions. Trump had been dadly informed by Keith Kellogg. Witkoff was there to give a message to Trump. After Witkoff returned to the US, Trump had a 90 minute phone call with Putin on February 12th.
Fenruary 18th. Rubio met with Lavrov and Witkoff met with Kirill Dimitriev. Rubio said,Russia did not start this war, that this is a proxy war between Russia and the US, that Ukraine will never be a member of NATO and that there will be no European peacekeeping force in Ukraine. Zelensky had gone to Saudi Arabia but never met with the US and the Russians.
Starmer and Macron met with Trump in DC and demanded the war in Ukraine continue until Russia was defeated. Trump's proposed a ceasefire which Ruusia responded to by direct talks with the US.
Ritter expects elections to be held to elect a new parliament and President who can accept a Russian peace peoposal.
