World News See other World News Articles Title: 2026 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Steve Witkoff? Steve Witkoff’s title is Special Envoy to the Middle East. He is a real estate lawyer and investor. His only qualification for diplomacy is that he is Donald Trump’s friend, and he knows how to make a hard bargain. Sharmine Narwani laughed at the way he handled Netanyahu. As I explained previously, Donald Trump has a $300 trillion Margin Call he has to meet which is to say which he has to deal with the world’s debt and to cut our current annual budget deficit of $2.2 trillion and to do that without raising prices and unemployment. A key component of Trump’s desire to be known as America’s best President since Washington would be to close 700 US military bases around the world and bring home 53,000 sailors stationed near Israel. Witkoff could offer to help Putin solve his Ukraine problem in exchange for his help with Israel and Palestine. Hint: Things are so bad for the defense of America that the US Coast Guard is patrolling the Persian Gulf alongside the US Navy. Their duty station is the Kingdom of Bahrain. Steve Witkoff was sent to Russia on February 11th. He met with Putin and also with Kirill Dimitriev, the head of Russia’s $10 billion Direct Investment Fund. Dimitriev set the record straight on the Russian economy and sanctions. Trump had been badly informed by Keith Kellogg. Witkoff was there to give and receive messages for Trump. After Witkoff returned to the US, Trump had a 90 minute phone call with Putin on February 12th. On February 18th, Rubio met with Lavrov and Witkoff met with Kirill Dimitriev in Riyadh. Rubio said, Russia did not start this war, that this is a proxy war between Russia and the US, that Ukraine will never be a member of NATO and that there will be no European peacekeeping force in Ukraine. Zelensky had gone to Saudi Arabia but never was allowed to meet with the US and the Russians. He is irrelevant. His term as President expired. Starmer and Macron met with Trump in DC and demanded the war in Ukraine continue until Russia was defeated. Trump ignored them and proposed a ceasefire which Russia responded to with direct talks with the US. Scott Ritter expects elections to be held to elect a new Ukrainian parliament and President who can accept a serious Russian peace proposal. Netanyahu needs for the war on Gaza to escalate to stay out of jail. He has cut Gaza off from electricity, water, aid and food. This is genocide and must be stopped. This is the critical juncture between peace for Palestine and Israel and a nuclear war between Israel and Iran. Iran cannot allow the Genocide to continue. Neither can Yemen. Yesterday Trump made the mistake of bombing Yemen. He needs to send Witkoff back to Israel and tell him that the Genocide ends today. And that we will begin negotiating a permanent peace for Gaza, Lebanon and Palestine. The choice is Trump’s. Does Steve Witkoff win the Nobel Peace Prize, or do we slide into a nuclear war between Iran and Israel? Iran could fire 1,000 missiles and 1,000 drones a day at Israel. At the end of Day One there would be no operational Israeli Air Force base left standing. Israel is the weaker party and will have to resort to nuclear war despite knowing that Iran can assemble 3 atomic bombs and wipe out Israel.
