Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news,

Remember in 2006 when Al Gore released An Inconvenient Truth and made lots of frightening claims about climate change, none of which came true?

He said the global ice caps would be gone and that all of us would be underwater by now.

Here’s another one that is still spectacularly wrong.

“Within the decade there will be no more snows of Kilimanjaro.”

- Al Gore, 2006

Mount Kilimanjaro in 2025

Mt. Kilimanjaro summit yesterday was incredibly beautiful with thick snow covering literally everywhere. Snow storm started to rain on us from Gillman’s Point (5,685 meters or 18,652 ft) to the Uhuru peak (5,895m or 19,341ft), about 2 hours climb, and one could not see beyond 10 metres.

At Gilman’ we had to fit ice cleats crampons over the shoes. The thick snowfall covered the trek route and it was impossible to navigate, without the experienced Tanzanian guards who helped us find our way in treacherous climb and decent. It was an incredible experience and a sight to behold.

From saying there was “a 75% chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years,” to claiming that the global sea level could rise as much as 20 feet “in the near future,” Gore has just been wrong wrong wrong about everything.

Al Gore has made a huge fortune from Climate catastrophising.. It's worth noting his 5 key predictions over the last 30 years have all been WRONG!

Just about all climate change arguments are anecdotal, such as hurricane counts, flood incidents, forest fires etc.

Except for, I think, one. And that's the CO2 levels in the atmosphere Even that could be anecdotal, because CO2 levels will vary by geographic location, such as in the middle of the Amazon basis vs downtown Los Angeles. But there is an argument that CO2 levels have risen from about 360 PPM to 420 PPM over the last 60 years or so. Maybe measurements are flawed in some way but if not, then it's hard to dismiss this particular measurement.

Sabrina doesn't say everything I like but I always appreciate an honest perspective that's not filtered from the mainstream.

Wasn't NYC supposed to be underwater by 2015?

“I am not one of those weak-spirited, sappy Americans who want to be liked by all the people around them. I don’t care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do. The important question is whether they are in a position to do anything about it. My affections, being concentrated over a few people, are not spread all over Hell in a vile attempt to placate sulky, worthless shits.” - William S Burroughs
