Mangos are a tropical fruit, traditionally restricted to the central latitudes by shelf life. I tried one once, the huge pit in the center was a minor obstacle, but once I managed to hack a bite size hunks of flesh I was questioning why it has become so popular among woke trendfollowers that the question answers itself. About as exciting a flavor as canteloupe. In Hoosier dialect, mango can also mean a green bell pepper. I remember discussing this with a friend in 7th or 8th grade.
