Those distinctions are arbitrary, sometimes I wonder if they were created to further divide us. FWIW, as an "official" GenXer (b. 1965), I consider you a contemporary.
They are not arbitrary. Boomers and Silents grew up in a white country. Gen X started with one but have seen it lost at an earlier age. Gen Z and Gen Alpha whites are already a minority. All also have wildly different exposures to media technologies at different ages. Also IQ is dropping by about 0.6 points per decade.

I had an idea around 1986 or so that an opposed flat-4 mounted aft of a front-wheel-drive transaxle would result in a low center of gravity, more balanced handling with a large pert of vehicle weight right behind the front drive/steering axle, and a long hood so popular with the public and stylists not so long ago.
I have a hard time seeing you lower yourself to my current level. I can't even do the electrician stuff much my hands are so crippled up now. Christ, I used to smoke almost everywhere I worked. Yeah, you can drop the poker face... And your back too, Junior.
