Not so sure about that. Time will tell.
The Chinese will eat bark, dogs, and rats. They don't shit themselves over not being able to buy cheap junk for a few years. Most importantly, they're not on the cusp of becoming a minority in their own country and don't have to cater to niggers and Jews. China outlasts the US EASILY.

You had some concerns about your son(s) being drafted as I recall, but I don't remember the timeframe. FWIW, me and Kim are Boomers, 1961 and 1964, so close to the end of that era. I consider us more like what came after that (Gen X?), with our fatalistic outlooks. The Covid debacle didn't do Doc any good, that's for sure.
Those distinctions are arbitrary, sometimes I wonder if they were created to further divide us. FWIW, as an "official" GenXer (b. 1965), I consider you a contemporary.
They are not arbitrary. Boomers and Silents grew up in a white country. Gen X started with one but have seen it lost at an earlier age. Gen Z and Gen Alpha whites are already a minority. All also have wildly different exposures to media technologies at different ages. Also IQ is dropping by about 0.6 points per decade.

I can't say I've ever been called that, let alone offended. I used to work side-by-side with sales though, so their juandiced view of propeller heads has rubbed off on me.
I've never been called that by anyone except Esso.
My buddy Skillethead with Raytheon called himself that. He was some crazy-high PhD-type electronic warfare (EW1) engineer. I was the only friend that had a high enough security clearance and knew enough about the shit that he could talk to. I was also involved in the HMMWV program back in the day before they hit Bagdad or whatever. The fucking run-flat tires were $800/ea 40 years ago. Mounting the tires and donuts on the ATIS (automatic tire inflation system) rims was really something.
Damned 4UM software won't let me click heart on that.
