The Democrat Party is facing a power vacuum in the wake of the 2024 election and no one seems to know how to move forward.

Nancy Pelosi has established herself as de facto leader of the party, but her grip is very weak.

Furthermore, Pelosi is getting closer to retirement and no one is even sure if she’s going to run for re-election in 2026 or not.

This means someone besides Pelosi needs to step into the leadership void and it seems Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the one doing it.
