A vote passed allowing Gavin Newsoms donor to bill California residents an additional $290 PER YEAR FEE on their electric bills
The vote is 4-0, with that vote, the California Public Utilities Commission, or CPUC, approved a plan allowing major utility companies in the state, including PG&E, SoCal Edison and San Diego Gas and Electric, to impose a fixed charge on most of their customers monthly utility bills. Specifically, the plan includes a new flat fee of $24.15 per month coming out to about $290 per year.
This change will go into effect in late 2025 for SCE and SDG&E customers and in early 2026 for PG&E customers
