One of the Company techies I used to work with had pretty bad RF burns and I knew an old Navy guy that was involved in RADAR years ago.

I've been told the invention of microwave ovens was quite by mistake. A guy was in close proximity to an operating Klystron or magnetron and a candy bar in his shirt pocket melted.
