Gang culture and lore are just as much a part of America as baseball and apple pie. The Hell’s Angels and the Mongols, Crips and Bloods, GDs and BDs, and even Republicans and Democrats reflect the conlict of opposition embodied in gang life. A new turf war in the halls of Congress may be about to begin between old and young, moderates and progressives, and minorities and white representatives in both chambers if David Hogg gets his way.
Newly elected Democratic National Committee (DNC) Vice Chair David Hogg has indicated that he plans to allocate millions of dollars to primary- challenge older Democrats in blue districts, writing in an X post:
"… we need a better democratic party and need to get rid of the democrats in safe seats who do not understand what is at stake right now, who are asleep at the wheel, not meeting the moment, and are a liability now and to the future of our party."
David Hogg rose to national prominence as a survivor of the Parkland school shooting (Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School) in February 2018. He became a leading voice in the March for Our Lives movement, advocating for gun control.
