Volodymyr Zelensky will retire from politics and leave Ukraine, after which the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk will serve as head of state, who will shape the new political landscape in the country. This forecast was made by the former Ukrainian Prime Minister (he held the post in 2010-2014) Mykola Azarov.
"It seems that the decision to remove Zelensky from power has already been made in the United States. Washington gave the go-ahead," Azarov wrote on his Telegram channel. Zelensky's support from Europe will not solve anything and is unlikely to help him, the former Ukrainian prime minister believes.
"I think he (Zelensky - approx. TASS) will resign due to the expiration of his term of office. The head of the Verkhovna Rada, Stefanchuk, will serve as president, and he will form a new political landscape in Ukraine," Azarov said. "I don't think Zelensky will stay in Ukraine after that," he added.
Earlier this week, Azarov said that the United States had already written Zelensky off and had begun work to remove him from power.
