New York, NY, May 24, 2006 … As the national debate over immigration continues to hold the national spotlight, neo-Nazis and white supremacists have ratcheted up their anti-Hispanic action, using everything from Internet video games to street demonstrations and other confrontational tactics in an effort to exploit the debate as a means to spread hate. Their goal is to draw new attention to their hateful notions about minorities and hopes for making America a nation for "Whites only." The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which monitors and reports on the activities of far-right extremists, has updated its online report, "Extremists Declare 'Open Season' on Immigrants" with new information showing that extremists continue to focus their energies on Hispanic hate-mongering through racist rhetoric, crude stereotypes, and threats of using violence to intimidate illegal immigrants. "As we have gotten deeper into the discussion on immigration, the white supremacist movement has reinvigorated itself and closed ranks around the cause of fighting immigration and turning America into a nation for 'Whites only'", said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. "The immigration debate has provided the perfect storm for America's white supremacist fringe to recruit, organize and sow the seeds of racial discord and hate." On the Internet, right-wing extremists have championed video games such as "Border Patrol," where the aim is to shoot to kill Mexicans as they attempt to cross the border, and used their Web sites to spread hateful anti-Hispanic messages. In the real world, white supremacist leaders have organized protests and encouraged their followers to act violently against immigrants or anyone of Hispanic origin. Anti-Hispanic Violence ADL's report cites two recent incidents as the latest in a multi-year trend of increasing violence targeting Hispanics: •A teenager was arrested in East Hampton, Long Island, on April 29 after he allegedly threatened a Hispanic teenager with a machete and chased a second teenager with a chain saw while shouting racial epithets. Described by classmates as a skinhead, the alleged perpetrator had posted to the Internet photographs of himself posing as a Nazi and adorning a shed with swastikas. •David Henry Tuck, 18, and Keith Robert Turner, 17, were arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault in the brutal April 22 attack of a teenage Hispanic high school student in Houston. The victim was beaten and sodomized with a plastic pipe from a patio umbrella, then kicked in the head with steel-toed boots. White Supremacist Protests In recent weeks, white supremacists have organized protests, rallies and other events across the country: •In Seattle, Washington, and Las Vegas, Nevada, members of the neo-Nazi National Vanguard held anti-immigration protests on May 20. On its Web site, the National Vanguard declared that day to be a "day of protest against George W. Bush's plan to destroy America," calling the president's immigration proposals a "sellout of the nation." •In Keene, New Hampshire, New England members of the Arkansas-based neo-Nazi group White Revolution held a self-described "anti-invasion" demonstration on May 7 to protest "the invasion of America by illegal non white hordes.' •In Russellville, Alabama, members of the Alabama chapter of the Indiana-based National Knights of the Ku Klux Klan held an anti-immigration rally on May 6, yelling "Let's get rid of the Mexicans!" After the rally, the Klansmen burned a cross in a field outside of town. •In Montgomery, Alabama, the neo-Confederate group League of the South and the Coalition against Illegal Immigration together organized an anti-immigration "Cinco de Mayo" demonstration on May 5. The event was promoted in the racist and anti-Semitic newspaper, "First Freedom." •In Greenville, South Carolina, the racist Council of Conservative Citizens held an anti-immigration demonstration on April 29 in front of the offices of Republican Congressman Lindsey Graham, where they burned Mexican flags and displayed signs such as "More INS, Less IRS," "Vote for Pedro to Go Home," and "I Didn't Fight in Iraq for Illegal Aliens."

I assume then you have a link for this? Columbus had no idea if he would find China, a new land. I am also skeptical that the wedge issue anti-Semitism became in the 20th Century existed as an fully evolved ploy in 13th Century Spain and that Columbus was in a convoluted ploy to execute an exodus of an entire population across an expanse of ocean in a world that rarely saw ships leaving the sight of land.
I get the distinct impression most caucasian Americans are quite comfortable "leaving a mess for their kids". Precisely WHY I didn't have any.
Because most people are too smart to buy into the discredited and false vilification of people to use them as a wedge issue bait to create panic and fear enough to buy into an agenda nobody with common sense and a cool head would fall for a moment.
People tend to segregate themselves, onve free of government interference. There's nothing wrong with that in and of itself although some take it as a belief system rather than a preference for what one is accustomed to. Social engineering is the real threat, and I'd ask all the bushbots, bureaucrats, neocons, and "Free Trade" morons why they hate the UN sometimes.

The only battle they've ever won was the Alamo, in which they outnumbered and outgunened the defenders, and later in the Battle of San Jacinto, when the Texans went over the top of the barricades the Mexicans turned tail and ran rather than fight. I have no use for Mexicans. We should have kept the country when we conquered it. Mexicans have certainly shown themselves unable to govern it, not surprising since Mexicans are a failed race, and as such, Mexico is a failed country, and always will be.

Hey Mike. I'm 56 y/o and what you describe above is exactly what I've lived with all my life - this despite the abolition of the Jim Crow laws, the installation of the Great Society and forced integration via school busing. After all these sociological convolutions, in NYC today, blacks live with blacks, whites with whites and Hispanics with Hispanics. We're back to 1963 and it's fine by me. People are free to live where they want, including the racially pure enclave of their choice. I fully support the Nation of Islam and their desire for racial separation. I'd be more than happy to divide this nation up by race. I prefer to live with whites, sit with whites, socialize with whites, but I reserve the right to integrate with other people where and when I choose. They, of course, can refuse this right of association. It’s called freedom.
You are blurring freedom of association and the propensity people sometime have to chose those of similar background and who have been victim to some degree of the taint of racial bigotry to not want to associate based on race from the wholesale call to carve a White homeland out of the United States precipitating a disintegration of the Union and an end or minimization of the U.S. Constitution. Not only is this foolish and endangers entire populations to be preyed upon by ethnic cleansing and force thousands to become refugees, it offers other foreign powers the chance to come in and pick off some of the new, smaller nations. White nationalism is a bad concept based on exploiting racial, religious or ethnic fears and intolerances to destroy the United States and to make a Balkanized mess out of it.
They pumped us full of all kinds of Zero Population Growth propaganda at the upper working class elementary school I attended. Now we have to import malnourished, disease carrying victims of NAFTA into each and every comunity in the entire 48? In many places people mix and get along just fine too. There is no need for White nationalism to fix what is not broken. The trend in places like NYC you cite today is not what it was in the Jim Crow days and as we get older, more mature as a people and a nation there will continue to be far less separation between people by that basis. Which is why it is a perfect wedge issue for racists to exploit in their desire to create a homeland with it's own laws against people who look different then they do. No thanks, I am too smart to buy into the hate and bait tactics of wedge issue politics.

You made a buried point about it 17 days ago (and not as the result of a direct question from me about Israel's "right" to exist). I suppose it speaks well of you that you recall your own words, though it took you awhile to do so. If it's ok to use force, land theft, murder and fraud to carve the Jewish state out of the Arab world, with all of the blood and turmoil that's accompanied it, I don't understand your inconsistent belief that others aren't allowed to do the same, but I suppose it's another manifestation of the racial and cultural supremacy that you espouse. For the record, I'm opposed to countries being carved out by Imperial force for special interests, whether it's based on racial, ethnic or any other arbitrary lines of division.

Well that is your opinion and mine is the creation of Israel in the aftermath of the Shoah is justifiable and my belief in the right of Israel to exist is a very very old and strong belief of mine I am not going to change. The Jewish people have suffered a broad spectrum of Anti-Semitic tactics and efforts to destroy, harass and harm them since the country disappeared centuries ago. In light of the six million Jews and other peoples who died due to the Nazi German genocide, it is logical to end a major vulnerability of the Jewish people and re-create Israel. They certainly have policies and beliefs I do not share and I have my strong dislike with aspects of current policies and past actions of their's I am less then happy with. I am even more deeply unhappy however with a continuation of the poison or anti- Semitism unabated from the days before World War II, and I would never ,ever drop my support of Israel's existence in large part because of it.
