The greater risk for us is that this volcano and others will cause another "Year without a summer." In 1709 Le Grand Hiver was caused by 3 smaller volcanic eruptions in Europe. In France the top meter (nearly 40 inches) of top soil in France sending food prices 600% higher. Some groundwater in some areas is 140 degrees Centigrade. There is a similar situation offshore of Japan where there is a risk of a tsunami estimated to be from 30 feet to 200 feet.
