I was going to send you a pithy comeback, but I don't remember what I was going to say.
I went out in the kitchen to get some tea, but it was empty. I went to rinse and fill the pot and as soon as I turned the faucet handle it exploded. Apparently the cast brass cup nut that holds the cartridge in shattered and the guts in the thing flew out and I had a geyser.
Luckily, Menards had a similar Pfister faucet and I was able to scavenge parts off it to rebuild it from the top without having to take out the drain pipes for access. I'll order new parts and put the new faucet back together until I can find a really skinny guy to get under there to replace the whole thing. I don't think my back would handle that.
Last damn time I drink tea, I'll stick to Kimmy's vodka or my whiskey.
I'm glad Doc wasn't here to see that. She's been bugging me to design us a new house and she'll have it built. I'm too damned old to start over again, I like things the way they are and I don't want to abandon Chris and Wyatt now that Angie's gone, the illegals would drive them out of the hood.

I drink at least two quarts of tea every day, I have an electric Iced tea brewer and an ice maker. I use green tea and various fruit and herbal teas as a blend. Hibiscus is today's blend. Only the true plumbing supply joints carry any repair parts I've got two that are close enough just a pain to get to and it really helps to speak Spanish.
Northside Plumbing was awesome. There was an old timer named Boots that could identify anything from a stem, "Yeah that's a Union Brass" blah bla blah.
I don't even know if they're still around, Boots certainly isn't.
