This morning when I went out to the garage for a smoke, I was greeted by an intermittent piezo buzzer. The garage door opener backup battery is bad according to the display, so I ordered two of them, the shop opener has the same opener, so It's probably bad too or will be shortly. That's four things in two weeks. 1. Water heater inlet pipe leaks. I'd nickname this place Little Ukraine, but the leader here isn't a homosexual pedophile. Poster Comment: I guess the Creator doesn't want me to get spoilt by having time to myself.
2. Kitchen faucet explosion.
3. Washing machine pump failure. I'm waiting on the part.
4. Overhead operator batteries. Ordered today.

How old is your house? My apartment building was built in the 1920s so things go bad all the time.
I built it in 1980 as the era of Carter wore on. I got a $20,000 loan from my mother at only 10%, which was about half the going rate at the time. The house itself is in OK condition, it's the mechanical systems giving me fits right this second. I just got my insurance bill, they're laboring under the delusion that it's worth about $220,000. Total nonsense. They just built two houses down the street from me on 40 foot lots somehow, the first since I built mine. They must've gotten a code variance, it used to be that you had to have at least a fifty foot frontage. They just look like garages from the front. They must be long, the lots are 138' deep. You could reach out and touch both houses standing between them, which would've required another variance. The view out the back of the alley must be stunning. My house faces the street and the sun, the garage faces the alley.

The entire platform of the Left is in pursuit of rebuilding after collapse, with only the super elite and wealthy ruling class telling everyone how to live, when and what to drive, and what and how much to eat. Keep the poor dependent, destroy the middle class, syphon wealth up.
I got to wondering why they put those two houses backwards on the lots down from me so I looked up the Google satellite image. They don't show up yet, but it showed me what I wanted to know. The alley stops (abandoned and overgrown) just before their lots negating the possibility of a rear facing garage like mine. They should've petitioned the city to do that before they built, it's a simple half day job to un-abandon the section of alley, or they should've done it themselves. The city would pick up the maintenance after that. I actually talked to a city guy about that a year or two ago so the garbagemen didn't have to back down the alley to do the pickups. They've hit the telephone poles and my fence several times. Or they could've bought the two abandoned lots next to my property from the County Commissioners. I wouldn't mind somebody clearing that dense woods. The County offered to give them to me if I cleared them, but I don't need anymore property, I already have three lots. At least they would've had a southern exposure to help with the heat in the winter.
