I'm takin' my first whack at making Porcupines for our dinner. I haven't had those in over 50 years. I had Mom's recipe on an index card, but Marla must've moved or thrown it away, I can't find it. I hope Doc likes 'em, they're kind of labor intensive to make.
That watermelon I bought the other day for $5 yielded over 8lbs. of fruit, the $2.88/lb melons would've cost about $50 (maybe I misread the tag, that doesn't seem right).
Nothing in the news except bitching/lies about Trump/Putin.
T-minus 5 hours when my weekend starts. I suppose I should clean bathrooms and get myself cleaned up before my company arrives.
Thanks, maybe I should see if Chris and his son need some watermelon chuncks. It's hard becoming a housewife all the sudden.
I'm good at food safety.
(Edit) I feel so sorry for Chris. I was out having a smoke looking out my front gate and saw him staring blankly out his BR window. He's lost and too proud to talk to me. Next time he's cutting my (his) lawn, I'll talk to him.
My psych training is weaponized, but I remember some of my help after Beirut.
