I'm takin' my first whack at making Porcupines for our dinner. I haven't had those in over 50 years. I had Mom's recipe on an index card, but Marla must've moved or thrown it away, I can't find it. I hope Doc likes 'em, they're kind of labor intensive to make. That watermelon I bought the other day for $5 yielded over 8lbs. of fruit, the $2.88/lb melons would've cost about $50 (maybe I misread the tag, that doesn't seem right). Nothing in the news except bitching/lies about Trump/Putin. T-minus 5 hours when my weekend starts. I suppose I should clean bathrooms and get myself cleaned up before my company arrives. (Edit) Anybody know if you can freeze watermelon chunks or does that just turn it into goo? I don't think we'll be eating 8lbs this weekend. During peak Prez Pedo, the Clown car would easily swallow up $400+ in groceries. The last time I made a big grocery run a couple weeks ago, I had a hard time fitting in $250 worth. Abought half the things I got had 'new lower price' tags on them. Frozen pies I get sometimes were $11, now $9. Before Child Grabber-Sniffer, $250 would last me two or three months. Granted, my groceries are fancier now that Kim and I got back together a year and a half ago, but not THAT much fancier. I wonder how much Doc spends on GrubHub and DoorDash a month? Not that it matters, she can afford it, I'm just curious. Maybe I should start charging her to eat here. LOL. About the only things that haven't stabilized/gone down is meat and dairy. That's the result of the leftist/commies war on farm animals because CLIMATE CHANGE. That may take a couple of years to get that out of the system. Getting rid of the illegals and fraud on EBT should help also. My sister has been telling me about a cottage cheese shortage up near Chicago, I have no idea what that's about if it nationwide or local. I don't get cottage cheese very often, if ever. Dang, I still have three hours to kill, might as well break out the booze. Wouldn't want Kimmy to see me sober, she might not recognize me.
