LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - They wore T-shirts asking "What Really Happened?," snapped up DVDs titled "9/11; The Great Illusion," and cheered as physicists, philosophers and terrorism experts decried the official version of the Sept. 11 attacks that shook America to its core. Some 1,200 people gathered at a Los Angeles hotel on the weekend for what organizers billed as the largest conference on the plethora of conspiracy theories that see the 2001 attacks on Washington and New York as, at best, official negligence, and at worst an orchestrated U.S. attempt to incite world war. "There are so many prominent people who are incredibly well-respected who have stated that the evidence is overwhelming that 9/11 was an inside job," syndicated radio talk show host Alex Jones told a news conference. "There are hundreds of smoking guns that people need to be made aware of," said Jones, calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and charging that mainstream media had been slow to cover the growing movement of 9/11 skeptics. The "9/11 and the Neo-Con Agenda" conference comprised two days of seminars, video presentations and talks by groups including "Scholars for 9/11 Truth," http://www.infowars.com and an appearance by actor Charlie Sheen. Most are convinced the U.S. military command "stood down" on the day of the attack, that the hijackers were trained at American military bases, and that the World Trade Center towers collapsed because of a series of controlled explosions set before they were hit by two hijacked planes. Suggested motives range from expected benefits for U.S. arms and oil conglomerates to revolutionary plans for a new world order headed by the United States. The theories, derided by critics as wild and far-fetched, have mostly been confined to the Internet, talk radio and the alternative press. But an August 2004 Zogby opinion poll revealed 49 percent of New York City residents believed U.S. leaders knew in advance of the attacks and failed to act. The official 9/11 Commission, set up in 2002, cited government intelligence lapses in the failure to prevent the attacks by al Qaeda that killed about 3,000 people. A 10,000-page investigation by the National Institute of Standards and Technology held that jet-fuel fires weakened the structure of the Twin Towers and led to their collapse. 'BAD THINGS HAPPENING' Sheen, star of the TV sitcom "Two and a Half Men," provoked a media storm in March by calling in interviews for an independent investigation. Sheen "brings the movement some legitimacy. He gives it a face," said a Los Angeles student attending the conference who gave his name as Rico. "Rational, well-educated people are starting to take a look at all this and are seeing there are some pretty bad things happening," Rico added. Webster Tarpley, author of "911 Synthetic Terror; Made in USA," said the Sept. 11 attacks were an example of "state-sponsored, false-flag terrorism" designed by rogue CIA elements "to start the war of civilizations." Tarpley said Washington was "gripped by war psychosis" and had used terror as a pretext to turn the United States into a police state.

ping! I searched Google News and found this article and the link above. Although Reuters, the article was carried by mostly arab newspapers and so far none in the U.S., UK or even europe.
From Alex Jones' website Infowars, the following comment and then the same Reuters article: http://www.infowars.com/articles/sept11/conf_intl_news.htm Comment: http://Infowars.com is just off the phone with Alex, who confirms the conference has been a huge success. C-SPAN covered part of the event (which it will rebroadcast several times this week), and various mainstream media outlets turned out to cover the event. This reuters story just broke, and, although they spin it in the predictable "conspiracy theorists" way, they do acknowledge the Zogby poll and put forth several important facts about September 11. Anyone looking for spin, please note this paragraph in the Reuter's article: "The theories, derided by critics as wild and far-fetched, have mostly been confined to the Internet, talk radio and the alternative press." We are glad to see that Reuters has taken note of such networks as CNN and such programs as Hannity and Combes' now "alternative press" status. Thanks to everyone who has helped to get the word out, the mainstream is being forced more and more to cover the majority, based-in-fact conviction that 9/11 was an inside job. Hey all! I just got back from the LA conference. It was something else. On Saturday, thanks to excellent advance work by my F4 friends christine, Freedom William, and Kamala, we all sit in the second row, directly behind Sheen and other VIPs with a clear view of the rostrum. The highlights of the first day were: 1) The premiere of Alex Jone's latest video "Terrorstorm." This is AJ's best video production yet. Very professionally done with state of the art graphics and sound. Covers false flag ops and exposes the fraud of the "war on terror." This will open a lot of eyes. 2) The presence (for most of the day) and speech of Charlie Sheen. The friendship and mutual admiration of AJ and Sheen was on display, as was Sheen's behind the scenes involvement in the planning of this conference. It was Sheen, for example, who thought up its tag line, "Face the Facts." 3) Webster Tarpley's masterful "big picture" overview (placing 9-11 in historical context, outlining the elements of synthetic terror, detailing the cover drills, patsies and moles of 9-11, etc. 4) Professor Jim Fetzer's impassioned demolition of the official 9-11 story. 5) Professor Steven Jone's soft-spoken, easy going demolition of the official story based on the fruits of his scientific findings - namely, the unmistakable chemical fingerprints (and molten metalic pools) left behind the use of suped- up steel-cutter/exploder, Thermate. It's an open and shut case, folks. Thermate was used to bring down Towers 1 and 2, and WTC7. The second day of the conference began with a panel discussion among Alex Jones, Professor Jones, Robert Bowman, Webster Tarpley, and Professor Fetzer, all filmed by C-SPAN (and, last we heard, slated to be aired this Wednesday). The crowd reaction shots will feature Freedom William, christine, myself and Kamala prominently in the third row, as the C-SPAN camera was aiming right at us from about 10 feet away. If C-SPAN does indeed air this panel exchange, it will a truth bomb the likes of which most Americans have not yet seen. But by far the most moving (and miraculous) presentation was that of William Rodriguez, hero and eyewitness of 9-11. He recounted in detail what he did and witnessed that day. His story is remarkable. At once terrible (for the horror of what he saw and experienced) and wonderful (because of the confluence of miracles that preserved Mr. Rodriguez' life, after placing him in the perfect position to witness things that the perpetrators of 9-11 assumed noone would be left alive to recount). These include: - A huge explosion that rocked the building (and burned/killed his co-workers) from the subbasement just prior to the first plane's impact. - What sounded like huge equipment being dragged across the 34th floor, a floor vacated and empty since 8 months before. Rodriguez heard this from the 33rd floor and it terrified him, because it was so incongruous with what he knew about the vacated 34th floor. He has no idea what could have produced such sounds and was too afraid to unlock the door of that floor to see. - A series of explosions on the upper floors just prior to the building's collapse. That's my quick summary. Now I gotta get some sleep (eventually). LOL.

offered him of money, "power", and "privilege," but he turned them down and is
now touring the world telling the leadership in other nations about the truth
of 9-11. How sweet is it that the arrogant killers, these elite
psychopathes are going to be brought down by: 1) Their propaganda
placement/preservation of evidence in the 9-11 memorials scattered nationwide.
2) A lowly janitor from Puerto Rico who has more power in his humility and
purity of spirit than is mustered by the entire monstrosity that is the
military-industrial-spook establishment. By the way, there is the
possibility of his story being made into a big time Hollywood movie. Stay

excellent summary, A. it was a great weekend with top notch speakers! the feeling of being in a crowd of 1200 TRUTHSEEKERS and activists was as wonderful as all the information we received. the recorded panel discussion by C-Span Sunday morning is not to be missed! that will give everyone an overview of the speeches. i just hope C-Span doesn't do any editing!

The links are kind of long, but will lay the details out. Other chemical fingerprints are being found by the research. Florine, potassium, mangagnees(SP), iron oxide and others that at this time Dr. Jones would not reveal. The 911 SST Group is just about going to nail the exact type of explosives used. Hey, Valis, I need the chemical that the EPA found in the dust at ground zero that was off the charts, and never been found before in an investigation testing. It started like, 1-3-dimthyl-something or other. Jones had it on the big screen, but I didn`t write it down. It has something to do with the thermite and is used as part of its base or as a stabilizer or something like that. Please point me in the right direction, its driving me crazy. Mark

I can't imagine it wasn't. Or did you mean you would have liked to have been on one of the panels. I'm sure you could have contribued a lot either way.
