A retired Navy commander and local outspoken tax protestor was sentenced to seven years in prison Thursday for a crime that Senior U.S. District Judge Lacey Collier said “goes directly to the heart of the existence of our country.”

Dr. Ward Dean, 63, of Pensacola also was ordered to pay nearly $300,000 in taxes that were assessed on the $1.3 million income he earned between 1997 and 2002 but never paid.

“If we have no one complying with the accepted and long-established tax code, we would have anarchy and we would have no country,” Collier said in imposing the sentence, which was more than double the sentencing guidelines’ maximum imprisonment of nearly 3 1/2 years.

Dean, a retired Navy flight surgeon, was convicted in December of six counts of tax evasion and one count of attempting to obstruct the Internal Revenue Service in the collection of taxes.

Here, Let me rebutt this too.

For one, the tax code changes more often than I change my underwear. The tax code that was instated at the inception of this country is nothing like it is today. There are over a Million pages in the tax code, and not one lawyer in this great land can show you the law that says ANYONE has to file a tax return.

If people did not pay their taxes, what would happen? Well I can tell you that a lot of things would change. For one, the welfare system would be non-existent, because those people would either get a job, or die off. There would be no bureacracy, or feeding trough for senators, and congressmen to use as their own private piggy banks. We also would have things like accountability because every dollar spent would have to be scrutinized as opposed to the rampant overspending by bureacracies everywhere.

Members of our government couldn't arbitrarily vote themselves pay increases at the public's expense. Not only that, they'd have to get jobs to support themselves, which to me would be a positive change.

Oh sure, a lot of people would lose out on the deal, but so many more would win. Imagine having the ability to save for retirement, and invest on your own. Imagine being able to keep that wealth you pay to the powers that be. We could generate 3 times the revenue from a consumption tax than actual income tax RIGHT NOW.

You could scrap the tax code across the board, institute a 1 percent tax on ALL financial transactions through your banks, or through point of purchase, and EVERY BILL WOULD BE PAID IN THIS COUNTRY WITHIN 5 YEARS.

How do I know this? Because I actually think of ways to save my government money. I think of ways to save MYSELF money. I think of ways to fix the problems in my country and help America get back on track to being a free country, one where people can be self-reliant and self-sufficient.

If you charged a penny on EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION, ON EVERY DOLLAR SPENT, the revenue generated would be staggering. Imagine tapping Microsoft's monetary transactions for a penny on the dollar. Imagine tapping GE's monetary transactions for a penny on the dollar. Imagine tapping GM's monetary transactions for a penny on the dollar. IMAGINE TAPPING EXXON, SHELL, BP, CONOCO PHILLIPS FOR A PENNY ON EVERY DOLLAR.

There would BE NO FUCKING DEFICIT IN THIS COUNTRY WITHIN 5 Years, and put a bunch of goons out of work overnight. You could do away with not only the bureaucrats, you could also free up a lot of space in prisons so you can put REAL criminals away.

I love my country, but the lack of common sense in leadership is astounding. The Judiciary Branch is clearly out of control, and this judge proves my point.

I want to save my country. I want to fix things in my country. I want to be free in my country, and the best way to be free, is if America can get out of debt. Tax EVERYONE THE SAME. One cent on every dollar spent in this economy, and within 5 years, EVERY DEBT WOULD BE ELIMINATED.
