The problem with what Gates is doing in Africa is that it is doing great harm to the Africans. Generic AIDS drugs prolong the life of AIDS patients so they can infect more people. AIDS in Africa is transmitted from women to men more easily than it is in America. The reason for that is that Africans cannot afford penicillin to treat STDS. It would be cheaper and more effective to treat them for their diseases that make them susceptible to AIDS.

To: zeugma I don't hate anyone, or anything. I am simply critical of leftists, like Richard Stallman, and of those who support them or his ideals. Since IBM employs him, and pushes his questionable socialist philosophy around the world, I am critical of them as well. I used to be a big IBM supporter, for my own home previously buying their desktops (countless), laptops, and even a dual processor server. But since they sold their PC business to the Chinese, and now push Stallman's software instead of commercial US products, I really have no use for them and their core product these days - services - since I prefer software that needs little to no service, something they obviously know nothing about. Their attempts to devalue intellectual property worldwide has only hurt their own core worth, since mutch of their worth is actually IP and developed vai R&D. IBM thinks giving software to the Chicoms is a good idea, yet only got $1.5 billion for their entire PC business. Microsoft came along and for 1 release of proprietary desktop software got twice that, and Microsoft still owns the software! This isn't just about IBM vs. Microsoft. This is about do we sell intellectual property to the rest of the world, or do we give it away to them. And why would any true American be infatuated with foreign software? If you actually do think it's better, why not build up US software to beat it? Answer - because you don't care if foreign software is better, so long as you get to use it. Unless of course it's free, which then trumps all.
