That sucks. Their smartest posters get so disgusted they abandon ship over the multitude of retards LP has recently been overrun by. But I can't blame him, or the other guy that left on this thread also, Phant2000(#29). Take a look at the photo in post #15 and read the continuing statements of some of these nice, decent folks(notice nobody responds to it directly).

LP has become like a political and moral Twilight Zone or something since the Gaza shellings broke out.

The place has turned into a zoo of bloodthirsty animals attacking the few rational people left there. Right is wrong, and wrong is right. Looks like LP got to be a bit too popular, so higher caliber plants were sent in to stir things up, while tugging away on Goldi's puppet strings. It is certainly not the forum it was just a few months ago even.

There is not one rational post that can be made without some flaming retards dropping in and launching barrages of attacks. Goldi doesn't mind when that happens, but God forbid when someone gives them a taste of their own medicine.

Now that they've disposed of me, I see that they are getting even bolder with their attacks upon others, and ping Goldi an awful lot when they want someone "taken care of".

I'm happy to be here amongst friends, and will not miss the petty idiots that haunt that once great forum.

christine and Zipporah do a great job moderating the forum. I don't think those sorts of problems could easily occur here.

I personally think they play games with search engines to help sites like LP (a site 'under the influence') become popular. but I don't know how it works. It is peculiar i think that an extreme neo-con site like LP has so much traffic when our country doesn't really have a high proportion of neo-con types.

I think what drives the traffic is that there are still a few posters there that post articles and facts that aren't readily available on most other sites that people know about, and LP is known to many of the freaks on FreeRepublic.

So between the neocons that get booted from FR due to their stance on immigration, and the genuinely curious that go there for news, it has a bit of traffic. That's what made it such a ripe and ready target for disruption.
