post #20 That sucks. Their smartest posters get so disgusted they abandon ship over the multitude of retards LP has recently been overrun by. But I can't blame him, or the other guy that left on this thread also, Phant2000(#29). Take a look at the photo in post #15 and read the continuing statements of some of these nice, decent folks(notice nobody responds to it directly). LP has become like a political and moral Twilight Zone or something since the Gaza shellings broke out.

They're too hung up on there being an open discussion forum on jewishness/zionism like here where there is not blind allegiance or committment to another nation. I remember saying something to the effect of Israel is simply moving it's civilians so it can proceed with the destruction of Gaza's infracture using airplanes rather than ground troops. I doubt Israel will go so far out as to re-occupy Lebanon, but those roads an bridges in the south will not be repaired anytime soon. Israel seems to have adopted a kill anything that moves strategy.

It's insane what's being said there. I feel like I helped create a monster. Then again, they are simply reflective of a lot of insanity across the USA. 911 killed innocents, so it's apparently perfectly okay to kill even more innocents. What absolute idiots they are! That's what it boils down to. No one condemning Israel for it's massive bombardment of children is defending the attacks against civilians in Israel. But those defending Israel's murderous rampage are simply claiming that it's okay to kill Lebanese people who are children. According to them, the Lebanese are subhuman. According to them, Israel can do no wrong, ever. Israel is above the law of humanity, and anyone Israel kills deserved to die so it's okay. Israel is the supreme country with a supreme people. Those idiots who love this bloodthirsty rampage of theirs AND who want Israel to continue to exist really, really, really need to see the light and condemn this. I cannot condemn Israel enough for this attrocity.

Cal. Oh what a woman. She had advance knowledge that we'd invade Iraq. She told me some 6 months before that it WAS going to happen, even before congress gave that lame "authorization to use force" that supposedly passed for a war declaration, which it didn't. She's very underhanded, but it seems she's quit supporting Bush, at least, having signed up with the illegal immigration people. Seems she's no longer a flagwaver for the Iraq invasion but hasn't apologized for supporting it as far as I know.

What is scary about this situation is that you have an organized block consisting of 25% to 29% or population who really want a fascists police state. This morning Becky Saunders gloated that we were only one terrorist attack away from a collection of news laws that would quash free speech and dissent. These people cannot survive in the light of day and they know it - if they are to continue to hold power, they must control the flow of information. The truth doesn't serve them well. Truth is destroying them as we speak. The 70% to 75% of the country on the other side are disorganized and either are not paying attention or have chosen to marginalize themselves for unpoplar causes. Even a small terrorist attack might push the 29% to 51% for a few weeks. It might be that Bush's somewhat irrational attacks against the NY Times a couple of weeks ago were the precursors to the info control laws Becky ranted about. Maybe Bush is getting ready for the window of opportunity - I would guess that he probably knows the day and the hour of the upcoming attack.

This is all but guaranteed by the Nov. elections if it is obvious that the GOP is in danger of loosing either the House or Senate. Not totally convinced it will work however as our security situation has been in repuke control since 9/11.

It happened. I said it also. Theinternal upheaval and Bibi resigning his postion in the Cabinet was all a ruse. I said back then that the old policies woudl be brought back out after the dust settled, revitalized, and a new push would be on to eliminate the Palis. I also called it right on the head that the assassination of Hariri, then blamed on Syria to force them to withdraw from Lebanon, was the opening to launch another invasion at a later date. I left both as well.. I began to jokingly call LP the FR Annex before I left.. seems I was correct..

Are you sure you can rule out highly misguided good intentions? A lot of self proclaimed "conservatives" are stuck in that rubber stamp simpleton version of christianity where they trust anyone else who merely says they're christion, like Bush, while ignoring what they do. Though a bit sad about the state of affairs, it's actually a rather positive write-up. Kinda explores the difference between America you speak of that's loved and the United States. From what I'd read, I'd say VERY fitting... In fact, you're too kind!

Hi guys, I don't know how it happened, but I'm glad to see you found your way here. It's not as busy over here, but there's no idiots running around that I've seen thus far, which probably explains the discrepancy in activity. Sorry to post about you boys, but the misery and cruelty of that thread exceeded all my fears about humanity and dashed my hopes for same -- at least temporarily -- and I hated to see you go, but I understood. I hope that here you will find a reshreshing change from the monotony of aruging with seemingly otherwise intelligent people until they are reduced to slinging insults and hate, and still do not entertain that they might be mistaken in their views. Sometimes we just are, that's why God gave us debate. I guess, anyway -- it sure helped me. You prove those people wrong from every angle and out comes the ugliness, exposing either their unfortunate stupidity, or deliberate support of subversion and death. How tiring it must have been.
