But I can't blame him, or the other guy that left on this thread also, Phant2000(#29). Take a look at the photo in post #15 and read the continuing statements of some of these nice, decent folks(notice nobody responds to it directly). LP has become like a political and moral Twilight Zone or something since the Gaza shellings broke out.

And I notice that the pics Honway posted were all civillians, many of which were children. The one pic posted by American Patriot in #32 is an Israeli MILITARY casualty.. Do you suppose that could be because Hizbollah has targeted primarily Israeli Military, and Izzy has targeted everything BUT military/militant? After reading commentaries there, I fear more than ever for our nation... I thought we were waking up. Who was it - Perl - that thought those 5 Izzy nationals arrested on 9/11 were Lebanese, and kept spewing shit "go Isreal".... Sad.

I really hope that should that sort of vitriolic blind hate shows up here that steps are taken to nip it in the bud. I remember saying something to the effect of Israel is simply moving it's civilians so it can proceed with the destruction of Gaza's infracture using airplanes rather than ground troops. I doubt Israel will go so far out as to re-occupy Lebanon, but those roads an bridges in the south will not be repaired anytime soon. Israel seems to have adopted a kill anything that moves strategy.

It's insane what's being said there. I feel like I helped create a monster. Then again, they are simply reflective of a lot of insanity across the USA. 911 killed innocents, so it's apparently perfectly okay to kill even more innocents. What absolute idiots they are! That's what it boils down to. No one condemning Israel for it's massive bombardment of children is defending the attacks against civilians in Israel. But those defending Israel's murderous rampage are simply claiming that it's okay to kill Lebanese people who are children. According to them, the Lebanese are subhuman. According to them, Israel can do no wrong, ever. Israel is above the law of humanity, and anyone Israel kills deserved to die so it's okay. Israel is the supreme country with a supreme people. Those idiots who love this bloodthirsty rampage of theirs AND who want Israel to continue to exist really, really, really need to see the light and condemn this. I cannot condemn Israel enough for this attrocity.

What is scary about this situation is that you have an organized block consisting of 25% to 29% or population who really want a fascists police state. This morning Becky Saunders gloated that we were only one terrorist attack away from a collection of news laws that would quash free speech and dissent. These people cannot survive in the light of day and they know it - if they are to continue to hold power, they must control the flow of information. The truth doesn't serve them well. Truth is destroying them as we speak. The 70% to 75% of the country on the other side are disorganized and either are not paying attention or have chosen to marginalize themselves for unpoplar causes. Even a small terrorist attack might push the 29% to 51% for a few weeks. It might be that Bush's somewhat irrational attacks against the NY Times a couple of weeks ago were the precursors to the info control laws Becky ranted about. Maybe Bush is getting ready for the window of opportunity - I would guess that he probably knows the day and the hour of the upcoming attack.

It's not as busy over here, but there's no idiots running around that I've seen thus far, which probably explains the discrepancy in activity. Sorry to post about you boys, but the misery and cruelty of that thread exceeded all my fears about humanity and dashed my hopes for same -- at least temporarily -- and I hated to see you go, but I understood. I hope that here you will find a reshreshing change from the monotony of aruging with seemingly otherwise intelligent people until they are reduced to slinging insults and hate, and still do not entertain that they might be mistaken in their views. Sometimes we just are, that's why God gave us debate. I guess, anyway -- it sure helped me. A very intelligent, very well educated Lady that is American to the bone. Try as I might on LP, it was impossible to have a civil, intelligent discussion or debate about anything.

Hi Christine & all! My thanks to Phant for pointing the way here! It seems after reviewing this thread that many posters here, are well aware of the rampant lunacy at LP. It seems to have really spun into foaming madness in the last week. I am hoping to see a few more to tell the owned (oops owner) to sod off. Cyni~!~ Sooo glad to see you here too!! That thread was beyond ugly. You are a brave man to stand like the lone Chinese protester in front of the Tanks at Tianemen Square. Defending democracy and civility. Stabbing at the throws of forum fascism as it takes hold. I have reviewed the thread as it grows, and it makes me feel as angry as those who danced in the street on 9/11. The sight of bloody children dismissed as nothing more midnight roadkill, and frankly as celebrated as a free appetizer at the Olive Garden. I'm sure that's right. I consider myself fortunate. I was adopted at 6 days old by people well past old enough to be my grandparents. My dad was 60 when they adopted me!! I was raised by parents that were in their late 20s and young 30s during the depression. So at the young age of 46, I am fortunate enough to know how to do things that many people older than me wouldn't have a clue where to begin. I still know how to do the milking and make butter (and do it - nothing is nastier than that damned margarine). Hitch up a team. Ride a horse into town to get the mail or supplies or have a cold one at the bar. Raise a garden and put up the excess for the winter. Cook on a wood stove. Mill my own flour and cornmeal. And I still do these things - wouldn't have it any other way. Most would say that I live in poverty, but as my dad would say "poor folks don't eat cream". I always have fresh food, well water (which I filter with a Berkey anyhow) fresh milk, a big brick and cement house, a stock of gold and silver, plenty of horses, and a Creator which I love and follow. I DON'T have a bank account, credit cards, driver's license, loans, or any of the other shit that ties me to their system.... And I don't know too many that are more content than me. I was also raised to be leary of Big Bro.. I remember coming home from school and telling mom about what we had learned that day about how good FDR was.. She gave me a funny look, and then dug out an old newspaper she had saved with an article in it about how FDR had advance knowledge of Pearl Harbor and it could have been prevented. I don't think she knew the whole truth of the matter, but she did know there was more going on than they were led to believe... Changed my perspective forever.

You should have seen the operation we had to pull off to round up the market wrap-up gang over at FR and move them to LP a couple of years ago. We likened it to evacuating Stalag 17. It took weeks. The move here was much easier.

I had an idea you might be just like this. What part of the country are you in? I'm in Missouri. I need to get with it, but it's tough right now. Not a good year up to now, nor have the last two been either. Hoping things will change for the better but there are going to be some bumps in the road first. We need to get that http://unlicense.org site going. I can do some of it but my time will be limited to a point with legal work and chores around here.

I'm in the panhandle of TX. Things have been a bit rough here too. But it's mainly weather related. We've been in a worse drought than back in the dust bowl days. I've had a whopping 8 inches of rain/snow in the last 11 months. Of course it's pretty arid here anyhow, so the normal is only around 15" per year, but it's been rough. The commie bastards think they have a right to play God and modify the weather, and I think they are getting pretty good at it. When a front comes through I can tell whether it's going to rain or not by the chemtrails. I've been telling the zombies around here about it for quite a while now and they just laugh. But I did have one guy a while back ask "Suppose you're right. Why would they want to put us in a drought?" Simple. There are too many small individual farmers. Big Bro wants all farming left in the hands of a few LARGE corporate farms. A few more years the way it's been going, and there are going to be a lot of the little guys forced out of business....

Texas panhandle? I used to run across there in the truck, thru Amarillo on the way back and forth on I-40, and on occasion coming up from New Mexico from Las Cruces across thru Roswell and Clovis and back to Amarillo heading east from there. I recall an ice storm about 5 years ago and I-40 was a big mess. In places it looked like a junk yard with all the cars and trucks and other equipment off the road.

That's all over my "stompin grounds" I've seen I-40 get so bad in winter cars would be stranded for miles on end. People would be out building snowmen on the side of the road. I've taken a break from political forums because it's been driving me nuts. I had not realized how badly LP has degenerated in just a few weeks (a result of influx of anti-immigration freepers?). I just want to cuss and call them a bunch of goddamn fuckfaces but it would be pointless. It's like most forums have become dens of hatred, my inital escape was from the spew at Liberty's flame, thanks to pagan-hater Stone (whom I blame for the demise of PostLiberty) and hater-of-everyone Tard. Goldi keeps letting the barbarians thru the gate. Maybe the point is to overwhelm the anti-war conservatives. I think it is working, if Cynicom is any indication.

It often resembles more of a zoo than anything else. I must say it is, at best, very difficult to run a forum that invites all views AND has intelligent, considerate debate. To her credit goldi does allow honway and others critical of to Israel to post, but when the primary posters are usually employ mudslinging tactics, it really takes a lot of patience for honest & upright people to wade through it, and they often leave which leaves a higher concentration of low value posters. I think that's why there is a lot of crap-level posting activity on LP.
It's incredible the difficulty of just getting them to condemn this very predictable killing of innocent people. It's like pulling teeth. Unbelievable.

IIRC, Neil said the LP software counted each entry in the BOZO list and didn't exclude dupes so someone could enter my name 25 times and my count would raise by '25'.

I think what drives the traffic is that there are still a few posters there that post articles and facts that aren't readily available on most other sites that people know about, and LP is known to many of the freaks on FreeRepublic. So between the neocons that get booted from FR due to their stance on immigration, and the genuinely curious that go there for news, it has a bit of traffic. That's what made it such a ripe and ready target for disruption.
Goldi is getting ready for the upcoming elections and, proably more importantly, the upcoming war. All the new shills seemed to show up at the same time. In addition, Goldi hasn't been around much. My guess is that she has been bought out and is now just a figurehead. There is proabably a list of people that must go. They will no doubt keep a few Alan Colmes on the site to kick around.

And I still do these things - wouldn't have it any other way. Most would say that I live in poverty, but as my dad would say "poor folks don't eat cream". I always have fresh food, well water (which I filter with a Berkey anyhow) fresh milk, a big brick and cement house, a stock of gold and silver, plenty of horses, and a Creator which I love and follow. I DON'T have a bank account, credit cards, driver's license, loans, or any of the other shit that ties me to their system.... And I don't know too many that are more content than me.
