That sucks. Their smartest posters get so disgusted they abandon ship over the multitude of retards LP has recently been overrun by. But I can't blame him, or the other guy that left on this thread also, Phant2000(#29). Take a look at the photo in post #15 and read the continuing statements of some of these nice, decent folks(notice nobody responds to it directly).

LP has become like a political and moral Twilight Zone or something since the Gaza shellings broke out.

Phant is rescuing the "victims" off the Titanic.

Capt. Robinson is on the "poop" deck calling for full steam ahead.

What a great feeling!!

Yes.. you do get so rowdy.. I'll keep a 'hairy eyeball' on you for sure. ;)

I could not sit idly by and let the blood thirsty people have their way.

It simply isn't human cyn. I feel duped. Argh.. Props to you sir.. A deep curtsey. ~jj

From knowing them on TOS, I can tell you Phant and Jesse have brains, strong minded, think on their feet and they scare me sometimes. Few on TOS ever wanted to joust with them.

Phant may well garner other "Titanic victims".

He'll need a towel and a stiff drink when he's done.

Capt. Robinson is on the "poop" deck calling for full steam ahead.

He and his brother should retire to Mexico where they have a business.

If Phant asks Pern here, he prolly wont come, mostly cause I called him a sick SOB.

First time in nearly ten years I have ever done that. You say you read the thread, there were only a couple that stood with me, the rest were digging a hole, some were what I called friends.

It was like a feeding frenzy.

It seems to have really spun into foaming madness in the last week.

It started as soon as the Judeo-Nazis started attacking Gaza. I just went over and looked at the thread on El Pee that this thread is about, and oh boy, are the nutters ever worked up into a froth. Me thinks some losers need to get a life, rather than typing with their fists on the internut 24/7.

American 4'rners.. :)

lol! very good, we do indeed feel like 4'rners in our native land these days.

I found myself trying to explain to a foreign visa worker what America was like only 30 years ago. It took some time, and I'm sure he didn't understand, but I had to try for some reason. Then, as I drove home, I just wanted to cry.

Cyni, truly there were some posts there by people I never imagined could 'join' the feeding. I'm truly stunned at one of them. Liberator. Just sort of chokes you to find such a person in unmasked deceit. Sure, you don't have to agree with a person on everything, and still remain civil... but..sheese..

We have been made outcasts in our own country. It's not the first time it's happened, and God willing, it will be reclaimed someday.. but it will be a long while.

But I do greive for the old familiar comforts. The movies and media try to force to accept that the America we grew up in was just a fascade. What IS a fascade, is a TexasHoldem Whitehouse where the termites are winning every hand, and have spread out to take all of DC. Those bits of paper on the floor... I see a line...wait.. there it is.... We The People of These United, something.. can't read the rest.......

We have been made outcasts in our own country.

I recall the 1930s, when Washington was a place down south somewhere, and some man named Roosevelt kept promising us no foreign wars. That was the total extent of Federal government in our lives.

Then came all those "agencies" and the raid of the Treasury was on. Downhill ever since.

I appreciate the opportunity to be here and and so glad to find you are trusting enough to allow the freedom of open debate. That's what our society is supposed to be about. That's great. I was talking about a local boy from out here in Missouri back in the 1860s and 1870s, Jesse James. He was hitting the railroads for all he was worth, him, his brother and the Younger brothers.

So, you're not from the U.S. I take it. Give me a hint as to your country of origin. I'm sure I can come up with an ethnic joke or two. LOL

Glad you've got your shots. I'm only a mad dog when the bots get my hackles up.

Oh, and I don't like corrupt gov't officials and other pirates (cops and assorted other agents) who are running around out there plundering the people. They need to hoist the Jolly Roger so that they are more honest about their true intentions. At least then we will know to give them a broadside on sight.

I always say we need more rope, to give them a neck stretching, of course. ;0)

Try describing America 70 years ago, near impossible.

I'm sure that's right.

I consider myself fortunate. I was adopted at 6 days old by people well past old enough to be my grandparents. My dad was 60 when they adopted me!! I was raised by parents that were in their late 20s and young 30s during the depression. So at the young age of 46, I am fortunate enough to know how to do things that many people older than me wouldn't have a clue where to begin. I still know how to do the milking and make butter (and do it - nothing is nastier than that damned margarine). Hitch up a team. Ride a horse into town to get the mail or supplies or have a cold one at the bar. Raise a garden and put up the excess for the winter. Cook on a wood stove. Mill my own flour and cornmeal. And I still do these things - wouldn't have it any other way. Most would say that I live in poverty, but as my dad would say "poor folks don't eat cream". I always have fresh food, well water (which I filter with a Berkey anyhow) fresh milk, a big brick and cement house, a stock of gold and silver, plenty of horses, and a Creator which I love and follow. I DON'T have a bank account, credit cards, driver's license, loans, or any of the other shit that ties me to their system.... And I don't know too many that are more content than me.

I was also raised to be leary of Big Bro.. I remember coming home from school and telling mom about what we had learned that day about how good FDR was.. She gave me a funny look, and then dug out an old newspaper she had saved with an article in it about how FDR had advance knowledge of Pearl Harbor and it could have been prevented. I don't think she knew the whole truth of the matter, but she did know there was more going on than they were led to believe... Changed my perspective forever.

You should have seen the operation we had to pull off to round up the market wrap-up gang over at FR and move them to LP a couple of years ago. We likened it to evacuating Stalag 17. It took weeks. The move here was much easier.

Not a good year up to now, nor have the last two been either. Hoping things will change for the better but there are going to be some bumps in the road first.

We need to get that http://unlicense.org site going. I can do some of it but my time will be limited to a point with legal work and chores around here.
