The "Original" skin for 4um, in place since 4um first went live, has been modified. The purpose of the modification was to bring the old look in line with the revised art/style instituted with the very sophisticated "brushed" look, and I think we've succeeded. However, we also hope that the changes preserve the advantage of the original skin in being useful for those who might have a screen resolution smaller than 1024x768, or who otherwise prefer not to have the browser window fill their entire computer screen. With the original skin, you can shrink the width of the browser window without having the dreaded left/right scroll bar appear at the bottom.
