From looking over some of "Crystalk"'s postings today on LP, I get the distinct impression that he/she/it thinks itself the forum owner. As Goldi-Lox has been strangely silent as of late, where Crystalk posts 24/7, I wonder what is really going on.... 6. To: Pravoslav (#5) You should be banned, but I will just bozo you. IMO it's quite doubtful they are one and the same person.. But it is odd when there is someone who posts that often and speaks as if in authority ..makes one wonder what influence that person holds? Who knows.. I sure dont.. ;P
He/she could be a financial backer of the originator of the forum's formation. There is more then meets th eye here, because any sane person would have banned Crystalk and Quantrill long ago from any forum except perhaps a forum run by Don Black of Storm front.

Sure. LP had almost no financial backing to start. 25 bucks for the domain name (1) and some borrowed bandwidth from SAPF and that was it. Without knowing whether the LP venture would succeed, I wanted to go into in conservatively and only expand as clearly warranted. No one had money to throw away. The attraction was FR's huge success in getting people to donate a quarter mil per year. I thought there'd be ample demand for an honest discussion forum to earn a livelihood, but that never happened. I think that requires a forum that caters to either R's or D's, or perhaps Conservatives (self proclaimed) or liberals....one of the mainstream groups. But my aim was for an honest forum that welcomed all views, and that's not a policy that makes many people feel good about donating. Start a pep rally and ban a few of the selected "bad guys" and it's a different story. But no, there was no heavy financial backer for LP. Unless you count me for having spent a good chunk of 6 months writing the software from pretty much scratch, but that would be it.
That truly sucks. You should have put a copyright on the software, then if there were an issue with money, I'm sure they'd be some relief. Apparently "Goldi" is now holding "fundraisers". I just hope we can attract people away from the beleagured site, and hopefully bring them here if they want truth. Perhaps you should go easier on the shills, as they do make for a funtime of slapping around, which is what many like to see...
