Iranian President Ahmadinejad Addresses Rally & Warns the U.S. & England: The Fire of the Wrath of the Peoples is About to Erupt & Overflow & the People Will Soon Rage; Today the Iranian People is the Owner of Nuclear Technology

The following are excerpts from a rally with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which aired on the Iranian News Channel (IRINN) on August 1, 2006.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: "Look, they are destroying homes with the people inside. They are burning fields. Neither children nor adults are safe from them. With laser-guided bombs, they attack shelters of defenseless women and children, leaving them in a pool of their blood."

Crowd: "Death to Israel."

"Death to Israel."

"Death to Israel."

"Death to Israel."

"Death to Israel."

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: "They have no boundaries, limits, or taboos when it comes to killing human beings. Who are they? Where did they come from? Are they human beings? 'They are like cattle, nay, more misguided.' A bunch of bloodthirsty barbarians. Next to them, all the criminals of the world seem righteous."

[...] "I declare, before all the dear people of Bojnourd, that in light of America and England's behavior, it has become clear that they don¸33;t have what it takes to participate in international forums. They don't have what it takes to sit in the Security Council, and to have a right of veto. They themselves are guilty and criminal, and they must be placed on trial." [...]

"When I see the behavior of America, England, and their other accomplices in recent days, I get the impression that they are preparing even greater crimes. I warn them: Know that the fire of the wrath of the peoples is about to erupt and overflow. If you do not put an end to your crimes, know that the ocean of the peoples will soon rage. When the peoples begin to move, they will drag everybody to the defendant¸33;s bench, and will remove them from the throne of power." [...]

"Today, the Iranian people is the owner of nuclear technology. Those who want to talk with our people should know what people they are talking to. If some believe they can keep talking to the Iranian people in the language of threats and aggressiveness, they should know that they are making a bitter mistake. If they have not realized this by now, they soon will, but then it will be too late. Then they will realize that they are facing a vigilant, proud people." © Iranian.ws

Sort of over the top, but one can understand why they are really pissed. If Bush and the Israelis can just keep poking them with enough sticks we might get a war that we can't handle. The average wingnut thinks Russia, China and Europe will stand idly by and let one of the most despised leader on the planet (Bush) and the most despised nation on the planet (the US - as poll after poll shows) take the oil. Bzzzzzt Wrong.

That's what I don't get. It's not like they need more training. They can't say well, we have old equipment.

I wouldn't be so sure he said this. Nobody I know has ever heard the man's voice, let alone claim to understand Farsi.

I know it's probably hype, the point is that this sort of drek is being dished up by the goober ticklers on a regular basis - and that the mouth brething, extended gut crowd in places like LP eats it up with a spoon.

The people over on LP right now sound a lot worse than the Iranian president does: http://www.libertypost.org/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=153554

Iranian President Ahmadinejad asks: are Jews human beings?

I don't think this is relevant. Hannity programmed me to support the Israelis. He didn't say anything at all about the Jews. Israelis arn't Jews are they?

I agree. Maybe he did, or did not. Seeing as very few here or anywhere, save for the Iranian plateau, are fluent in farsi we are susceptable to easy manipulation.

My Iranian friends do think the guy is a religious nut, tho. And they DO know Farsi.

I've developed an intense hatred for fundies. Their distorted belief system has enabled a madman commit war crimes. They claim to have a direct road to heaven? Bullshit.

He very well could be a nut, but as for his threat to wipe Israel off the map, I wouldn't pee my pants over it. A threat is only as valid as the means to carry it out. As I see it, Ahmadinejad is a few hundred nukes short of his ambitious goal.

Burnin' and Lootin'

This morning I woke up in a curfew

Oh god, I was a prisoner too - yeah Could not recognise the faces standing over me They were all dressed in uniforms of brutality

How many rivers do we have to cross Before we can talk to the boss All that we got seems lost We must have really paid the cost

(That's why we gonna be)

Burnin' and a-lootin' tonight (Say we gonna burn and loot) Burnin' and a-lootin' tonight (One more thing) Burnin all pollution tonight (Oh yeah, yeah) Burning all illusions tonight Oh stop them

Give me the food and let me grow Let the roots man take a blow All them drugs gonna make you slow now It's not the music of the ghetto

Weeping and a-wailing tonight (Ooh can't stop the tears) Weepin' and a-wailin' tonight (We've been suffering all these

long, long years) Weeping and a-wailing tonight

Give me the food and let me grow Let the roots man take a blow All them drugs gonna make you slow now It's not the music of the ghetto

We gonna be burnin' and a-lootin' tonight (To survive, yeah)

Burnin' and a-lootin' tonight (Save your babies lives) Burning all pollution tonight Burning all illusions tonight

Burnin and lootin tonight Burnin and lootin tonight

Quit bogarting that peace, Herbert!

Farsi is an Indo European tounge. When I ask Shah Nejadd (my friend) to count one to ten, most of the numbers are a simple consonent shift, and are pretty understandably within the easy context.

Their script is quite like our script, simply joining the the letters with an underline.

As a point of historical note, I do not think that anyone was aware of the massive coverage of the Indo European language untill the Brits were in India long enough (1880) for some linguists to start realizing the similarities between Hindi and English (Hindi means the people (hin) of the Indus (river), more or less).

Then there was the shocking realization that German, english, Celtic, et al and Hindi all derived from the same linguistic stock. Linguistics has never been the same since.

Linguistics and etymology are really interesting. PBS aired a history of the english language once, it was hilarious. Basically every invading force brought a slight change to the language.
