The men all conversed about who had been first The homecoming queen, who once had been lean, No one had heard about the class nerd The boy we'd decreed "most apt to succeed" They awarded a prize to one of the guys They took a class picture, a curious mixture At our next get-together, no one cared whether It was held out-of-doors, at the lake shores; By the fortieth year, it was abundantly clear, And now I can't wait as they've set the date; Repairs have been made on my old hearing aid; I'm feeling quite hearty; I'm ready to party, +++++ At least some of the Class of '65 have their wits about them.

That's really cute. I've never bothered to go to a single class reunion. I didn't care for most of them back then, and now it doesn't much matter. I have kept in touch all these years with the girl that I shared hall lockers and gym lockers with thru junior high and high school. She's kept up with a handful; we had something like 592 students graduate in our summer class; the winter class only had a shade over 200..imagine the size of the class had we all had to graduate at the same time---sheet, we'd still be passing out diplomas! :(
