These people are the 29% who still support Bush. Notice how little substance there is too them. If you take away their bigoted blind hatred and seething rage, there is nothing left. Notice that they can't even defend the positions they advocate - they can do nothing more than demonize and shout down people who present facts that contradict their world view. When I was a kid I could never understand who the Nazis got a hold of Germany. No one could ever really explain it to me. Watching these people it suddenly becomes very clear. These people are identical to the Nazis in the 1930s. Their tactics are the same and their goals are the same. They really do hate American freedoms - mostly because American freedom permits inconvenient questions. They will not be happy until the classic American way of life is destroyed. They are the people that Dean talks about in his new book. They are very uncomfortable with freedom. They need a strongman to tell them what to do and they hate the idea of other people being uncontrolled.

exactly. until they come to the realization that they're just delusional pack animals carrying the water for their wonton masters, engaging them in their totemic phantasm only spurs them further down the same mis-guided path. no one's going to change their mind by force, and considering the group in question, they'll have to be overwhelmingly repulsed by what they've become. the sad part is, that by that time, it'll probably be too late.

My oldest son found this out the hard way. He's only 13 and is so intelligent and altruistic. He never needed to take any queues from me on his independent and pro-Constitution beliefs. It's obvious what these kid's parents are isn't it.... P.S. How old must one be to post here?
