The time to organize resistance is not after censorship, but before it. The time to prepare resistance is when our ability to resist is being threatened. The time to begin resistance is when that threat has been upheld or ignored by the courts. Articles. I hope folks read all three. I will print a set up, read them often and when I feel helpless or isolated. Knowing tens of thousands of others probably have the same attitude, will comfort me. As I recall, the Declaration has a nice list of abuses. Maybe a review of that document is timely. You know, just to get in the spirit. The Declaration is also a quick reminder of another kind of Spirit... He who created us and gave us our rights. Jefferson was pretty sharp. He said much in that thoughtful document. We have moved far away from his ideas and ideals. Secularism is the norm, today. From the Urantia Book: "Secularism can never bring peace to mankind. Nothing can take the place of God in human society. But mark you well! do not be quick to surrender the beneficent gains of the secular revolt from ecclesiastical totalitarianism. Western civilization today enjoys many liberties and satisfactions as a result of the secular revolt. The great mistake of secularism was this: In revolting against the almost total control of life by religious authority, and after attaining the liberation from such ecclesiastical tyranny, the secularists went on to institute a revolt against God himself, sometimes tacitly and sometimes openly." I think that is about where our leaders are... "revolting against God himself." Father, forgive them, they know not what they do, besides, I'm not feeling all that forgiving, right now. Amen.
