Looks like LP had a bit too much exposure and truth on it for the elite, who apparently are now calling the shots in a ploy to destroy it.

Israel’s Government has thrown its weight behind efforts by supporters to counter what it believes to be negative bias and a tide of pro-Arab propaganda. The Foreign Ministry has ordered trainee diplomats to track websites and chatrooms so that networks of US and European groups with hundreds of thousands of Jewish activists can place supportive messages. In the past week nearly 5,000 members of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) have downloaded special “megaphone” software that alerts them to anti-Israeli chatrooms or internet polls to enable them to post contrary viewpoints. A student team in Jerusalem combs the web in a host of different languages to flag the sites so that those who have signed up can influence an opinion survey or the course of a debate. Jonny Cline, of the international student group, said that Jewish students and youth groups with their understanding of the web environment were ideally placed to present another side to the debate. “We’re saying to these people that if Israel is being bashed, don’t ignore it, change it,” Mr Cline said. “A poll like CNN’s takes just a few seconds to vote in, but if thousands take part the outcome will be changed. What’s vital is that the international face of the conflict is balanced.” Doron Barkat, 29, in Jerusalem, spends long nights trawling the web to try to swing the debate Israel’s way. “When I see internet polls for or against Israel I send out a mailing list to vote for Israel,” he said. “It can be that after 15 minutes there will be 400 votes for Israel. “It’s very satisfying. There are also forums where Lebanese and Israelis talk.” Israel’s Foreign Ministry must avoid direct involvement with the campaign but is in contact with international Jewish and evangelical Christian groups, distributing internet information packs. Amir Gissin, the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s public relations director, said: “The internet’s become a leading tool for news, shaping the world view of millions. Our problem is the foreign media shows Lebanese suffering, but not Israeli. Our owners and Neil are to be congratulated on ACTUALLY believing in and practicing free speech. I can tell you that I don't agree with a number of things that go on here.....but the hardest thing to get thru the skull is that others are allowed to voice their opinion just as I am. And while I have some disagreements, by being able to state my views, lurkers or just readers are able to see that there are differences. And there's a chance my 'view' of reality or truth willl cause them to think a little more about the subject at hand. Myself, I posted there in the idealistic hope of being able to influence some people who might truly be seeking the truth in matters where the truth is nowhere to be found in main stream news. As is apparent, there are many that desire to keep certain truths out of sight and out of mind. Some truths can be ridiculed and labeled conspiracy theories, where some can not. It is those that cannot be so easily dismissed that cause the powers that be great heartburn, requiring those speaking such truths to be silenced. I agree with you wholeheartedly, that our forum hosts are to be congratulated for not allowing that to happen here.
That has since changed to a generic "Gold Lox" now however. I'm not sure she is in compliance with domain name registration requirements however. IIRC there was some action being taken by the domain gods requiring actual names and contact info for domain reg. Homeland Security thing I believe. That is very interesting Brian, I wonder why she took her real name off the registration. One might think there's something not quite Kosher on 12 Carroll Street, Westminster, Maryland. From looking over the LP thread where Goldi banned honway, apparently someone linked to this thread, where in turn our good "friend" D'Acconia noticed your post concerning this (as you yourself mentioned later on in this thread). Oh shucks, we've caused Goldi and some of her pals heartburn, tsk tsk... LOL

I don't know if you've noticed, but she's also moved your article on the Israeli involvment in the bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon to the BikerBar. Have you posted that article here yet? You can buy a "secure whois" to hide your personal details from the public, which is totally legit. I'm not sure about providing false info to begin with.

I wasn't sure, as I came across that info just recently. From digging around a bit, it appears that LP was better off with Kotmair than with Goldi at the helm, where I've read some of his posts there and he seems to be more level headed than the web witch.

You are making the mistake of thinking LP is an open discussion forum. It isn't. It's a propaganda machine to fool Missouri truck drivers into sending their kids to die for Israel. Once you realize this, eveything else follows very logically.

You guys are really helping out with the bites this week. This thread and its El Pee companion are full of good material starting with Goldi. For those of you who don't regilarly look at the Bites here is her white persian cat quota. Right there in Doug from Upland and JimRob territory.

From the looks of things, we will probably just be the first of many to get the boot. Goldi is toying with OI making him think he's safe, and making people think that she really does run the forum impartially. Time will tell, but I have a hunch when push comes to shove, there will be a few more "trouble makers" unceremoniously "retired" or banned outright. Hopefully all the legit posters there will keep this site in mind. Much of my time on LP lately had been spent knocking down the more uppity of the bots in order to keep them in check. Now that I've left, I see BAC is back in full form, along with lesser talented bots hacking away at anyone that dares quetion the Ministry of Propaganda. That may be why I was delt with so early on, and in such a manner as to make it appear I had actually done something wrong, where Goldi's bots posts are MANY times more uncivil than anything I've ever written.

Once upon a time I had that noble idea of attempting to dialogue with folks in order to see some changes occur due to reality be shone into the corners of life. Frankly, now I just say, screw most of them. They run off anyone that attempts to learn, i.e., lurkers. At least here, views are challenged and extended or expounded upon without everything being hatred, and plain ol sour bilgewater by people who can't find their way out of a wet paper bag, let alone present any information of value beyond 'See Dick. See Dick read. See Spot. See Spot pee'. The name calling is such a turn off........as are bad manners, etc. Daily life has enough rudeness and illmannered goofballs than to deal with it during leisure time. Anyways, that is how I'm feeling about it nowadays.

Sadly, it truly is. It may still exist as a site on the net, but the LP that once was no longer does. It is now nothing more than a hate-filled cauldron of brain damaged bots, with the exception of a few that still try to turn the tide back to where things once were.
It had become second nature in dealing with many of the bots there, as almost all of them without exception would label anyone that disagrees with them a KOOK, America-hater, Muzzie-lover, etc... So I would just retaliate with a few choice words for them myself, but never to the extent or the level of depravity some of them have stooped to.
