Thu Aug 24, 2006 11:08am ET NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. authorities have arrested a New York man for broadcasting Hizbollah television station al-Manar, which has been designated a terrorist entity by the U.S. Treasury Department, prosecutors said on Thursday. Javed Iqbal, 42, was arrested on Wednesday because his Brooklyn-based company HDTV Ltd. was providing New York-area customers with the Hizbollah-operated channel, federal prosecutors said in a statement. It did not say how long Iqbal's company had been providing satellite broadcasts of al-Manar, which the U.S. Treasury Department in March had designated as Specially Designated Global Terrorist entity, making it a crime to conduct business with al-Manar. Iqbal has been charged with conspiring to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, the statement said. Federal authorities searched HDTV's Brooklyn office and Iqbal's Staten Island home, where Iqbal was suspected of maintaining satellite dishes, the statement said. The U.S. Treasury Department froze U.S. assets of al-Manar in March, saying it supported fund-raising and recruitment activities of Hizbollah, a Shiite Muslim group backed by Syria and Iran that has been at war with Israel in southern Lebanon.

I think the fact that being suspected of possessing a satellite dish (antenna) somehow constitutes a crime, speaks volumes.
This guy was Giving Aid and Comfort to the enemy by broadcasting their garbage into this nation to solicit and train new terrorists inside our borders. This is exactly how home grown terrorists are made. They could also use that station to give a "signal" when to act. Close it down, strip him of all his assets, and put him in front of a firing squad. Sooner, rather than later. Goldi-Lox posted on 2006-08-24 16:03:22 ET I posted this article on LP, provoking Goldi-Lox to throw the fit above. Then, about a minute later, the thread of this article that I had posted on LP, What Types of Gruesome Weapons Did Israel Use in Lebanon?, was deleted, and my account was banned.
Note this extreme reaction she had to another piece I posted. This posting by Goldi-Lox was about a minute before she deleted my other thread and banned my account. (That other thread was up on LP for a total of about two minutes. They reacted mighty fast.)
Hell, I've been posting to this lady for 4 days to REMOVE MY ACCOUNT and she refuses to answer!! Guess I'll have to go over there and make the most filthy and obscenity laced post of my career about the GD Jews, gays, Shrub, and anything else I can think of to piss her off before she decides to delete me. Perhaps some Stormfront articles might do the trick??
LOL! All I did to get banned over there was to state a fact that LP was being blocked by a major communications company. I was stating the truth; she just didn't like to hear it. I can see her plugging her ears up and running around screaming "I can't hear you, nana, nana, nana" while she banned my account. Funny thing is she never deleted my post; it is still there today. That might change soon though after she realizes her oversight after hearing of this post.
