WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- The description of Osama bin Laden on the FBI's "Most Wanted" list omits his most notorious act, masterminding the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.

Bin Laden has boasted of his role in the attacks but he has not been charged with them. The FBI traditionally only mentions crimes when there has been an indictment, The Washington Post reports.

The description does mention allegations that bin Laden orchestrated the bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. Bin Laden faces federal charges for those attacks.

But the Post said that leaving out the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks has fueled conspiracy theories from the small group of people who believe that the U.S. government was involved.

"There's no mystery here," FBI spokesman Rex Tomb said. "They could add 9/11 on there, but they have not because they don't need to at this point. ... There is a logic to it."

Not only is there no evidence of Bin Laden and 911, the CIA quit looking and shut down the unit a year ago.

If America is destroyed, it may be by Americans who salute the flag, sing the national anthem, march in patriotic parades, cheer Fourth of July speakers - normally good Americans who fail to comprehend what is required to keep our country strong and free - Americans who have been lulled into a false security (April 1968).---Ezra Taft Benson, US Secretary of Agriculture 1953-1961 under Eisenhower

Bin Laden has boasted of his role in the attacks...

Pure BS.

From http://www.public-action.com/911/oblintrv.html

October 16, 2001-- An interview with Osama bin Laden was published in a Karachi-based Pakistani daily newspaper, Ummat, on September 28, 2001. In this interview, bin Laden says of the September 11 attacks in the US:

"I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people. Such a practice is forbidden even in the course of a battle."

The post is based on this fake: http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/osamatape.html

So, the real reason:

"There's no mystery here," FBI spokesman Rex Tomb said. "They could add 9/11 on there, but they have not because they don't need to at this point. ... There is a logic to it."

Yeah, right. Since when does the FBI "don't need to" to add charges, whether true or not, to a crime?

There ought to be limits to freedom. - G.W. Bush, 21 May 1999
