I saw one of those smash-face dogs had markings like a persian cat, and after sturdying myself against an intense urge to burst into uncontrolable giggling reached out to and found it unpleasingly bristly.

This is because all dogs, no matter their size, have a job to protect their owners: first from cats, then from cat owners, and if there's any energy left, from everyone else.

People who own both dogs and cats must have very confused dogs.
