Shazzam! ROFL! I thought leveller did a good job organizing all the valued posters comments into a simple comprehensive one page rule sheet. (Apparently the comments were allowed to stand by the owner, therefore, condoned). He did them a favor...and they cry! Why, the posters comments are unapologetic in their bloodthirst, and apparently do not recognize themselves in their own mirror. Silly gargoyles. My my. In effect we did the same thing. We DETHRONED THEIR RELIGION. We made The Emperor human and not divine, rewriting their religion for them by destroying its symbols. We FORCABLY DESTROYED THEIR RELIGION.

The "Mystery" of war is that if you cannot win or destroy the "will" of the opposition; the war continues - it's that simple, whether Viet Nam, Mogadishu or Northern Ireland.

The 'big guys' haven't figured that out.

In Iraq, we destroyed the military and government; we didn't factor the "will" of the populace - per Von Klauswitz' "Trinity of War (Government, Military and Populace).

Exactly. It's necessary to factor the 'culture' that you're dealing with. The Islamics are willing to die for their beliefs; western culture has to be scared shitless, before they go to that extent.

Israel has a lot to be worried about, as they are a Maternal culture. With most of the W.W. II survivors gone, this current Israeli culture can't think in terms of anything but luxury; with a rare suicide bombing. Thus, heads are rolling, as so many (not that many - actually) 'boys' got inconvenienced and hurt/killed.

The Lebanese campaign was a case of mixed agendas, with no clear definition of the mission laid out. Israel destroyed Lebannon, with the 'rest of the world' imposed upon to rebuild Israel's temper-tantrum. Israel got one hell of a surprise out of the Hezzies, while the Hezzies learned a bunch of new tricks.
