20. To: Badeye (#17) I warned him publicly at least twice, and by email NOT to post anything that was in Arabic, or linked to an Arabic language site. He said it was done accidently, and would not do it again. In the last article he posted, (I deleted the thread), when I went to the link, it was AGAIN to an Arabic language site. That was it. Done. I won't be lied to. LP cannot tolerate that. We are at war...like it or not. There is no way for me or others who cannot speak Arabic to know whether or not there are messages between terrorists going on, and I won't be a party to that. It's too dangerous for all of us. When I warn someone about an action, and spell out the reason why, and they do it again, I don't have any other choice but to cut off their posting rights. I think I acted on behalf of the posting community here. We can't be associated in any way with those who are terrorists. I think he was doing a disservice to the site, and our members. Of course, people are going to have to make a decision whether the Republican Party is to survive or whether a free and open country is to survive. The two are at odds and you can't have both. Any patriotic member of the GOP can tell you that the Bush administration should survive at the expense of the country. Maybe because I don't check my e-mails, I never saw her warnings, and consequently never made the response she claims I made. If she posted warnings to me on LP, it must have been in postings I never read. The last posting I made was from Uruknet, which, as far as I can see, is in English. Its page includes one or two Arabic words at the top of the page, and those I did not include in my posting, because I had seen an earlier complaint from Goldi about including Arabic in a posting. (That was probably one of my earlier postings, although that complaint from her that I did see did not mention me in particular. That posting said she was worried about the posting of coded messages.)

Interesting that that article that I posted that led to my banning is still up there on LP, after somebody else posted it a few hours after I did: What Types of Gruesome Weapons Did Israel Use in Lebanon?. The link to the original article on Uruknet appears not to be functioning now, but here's a summary Uruknet page that uses Arabic to the same limited extent that the original article page did: uruknet.info.

I would doubt this seriously. There are really no differences between the parties, its all about holding office and increasing the reach of the Fed. There was a time when the GOP claimed to resent Big Gubmint....now, that has been thrown out the window. So she lied. And as you point out, the "arabic" sourced thread she's complaining about was posted by someone else again, and is STILL up on LP. You were just too effective.

But I had no idea. Just look at my postings here after she banned me. I assumed it was because of the content of the article, not any "Arabic" content.

Suppression breeds suspicion. Barf Alert posts there with bogus titles "We are winning in Iraq" and then links to obscure blogs/forums with actual titles nowhere close to this. I did complain to Goldi about this apparent misconduct some time ago, yet Barfy (Balls Alert here) did it again this morning. When people are banned, which is a forum owner's right, be consistent and be honest....its the best policy, IFAM.
Goldi-lox and the Bearly tolerable den of enablers. Let's just be thankful she doesn't have them all at a remote farm in Guyana with a punch bowl full of poisoned purple Kool aid. This is the more cult like aspect pf the goofiness at LP. Everyone knows she is a liar and enables it. Where the hilarity lays is when they try to curry favor with her in their expectations from some sort of recognition from her for their commitment to the principle of hiding the fact that she wouldn't know the truth of it bit her on the ass. I've seen forums get this kind of mad cow disease before, I just have never knew the typhoid Mary spreading the affliction into the virtual community so well before. Interesting, and I am grateful for her banning me so I can watch it from afar.
Another funny thing is how quickly she noticed that I had posted from an "Arabic" site. I was banned within something like two minutes after posting the article. And, as I have stated, I was careful not to include the Arabic wording of a word or two at the top of the page in my posting (since I thought posting Arabic language was what she objected to.)

Yeah, I have made it clear many times my amusement of and high disdain for the RCP a long time and I was posting an article on May Day from the Revolutionary Worker on the minutemen to start discussion on them from a different angle. but she likes to control where the argument emanating from an event or issue starts off from and what ground it stays on. And anyone who contests the intellectual dishonesty of these tactics gets banned of the criticism gets too troublesome for her.

Interesting. I looked through most of the postings she made to you in recent times and saw nothing by way of warning. The closest thing to this mention is a response about the guy who rebroadcast Hezzbollah news and was arrested for it by DHS, wherein she mentions the possibility of some code being sent in the rebroadcast (but which had nothing to do with LP posted content). Maybe it's there and I missed it but from what she wrote to you it seems she was generally irritated over your postings that were unfavorable to Israel. All considered, it seems she didn't like you on the site because you were making Israel look bad and she invented this reason to ban you. I'm sure she really believes what she says though -- it's probably a psychological thing with her wanting to have a reason to ban you. She's probably wanted that for a while. But one benefit of a doubt I might suggest: If she emailed something to you and you've been a member for years, she may have used an outdated email address. But that obviously wouldn't explain your supposed response.
She posted that a minute before she banned me (and right after I had posted the "Gruesome Weapons" piece), so it obviously didn't have time to be an effective warning in any case.

Well, there's absolutely nothing in that post that even hints that she was upset with you. Her comment is obviously directed exclusively at the guy who was arrested, and the thread remains up. As for terrorists passing coded messages, they could do it in English as well as any other language. It's quite silly to hold that kind of concern over Arabic lettering, and use of overt messages in Arabic news reports would easily attract the attention of any government. Such concern is rabid paranoia, and --my guess-- just an excuse to block sources that are likely to be/usually are critical of Israel.
