Well, Im hot blooded, check it and see
I got a fever of a hundred and three
Come on baby, do you do more than dance?
Im hot blooded, Im hot blooded

You dont have to read my mind, to know what I have in mind
Honey you oughta know
Now you move so fine, let me lay it on the line
I wanna know what youre doin after the show

Now its up to you, we can make a secret rendezvous
Just me and you, Ill show you lovin like you never knew

Thats why, Im hot blooded, check it and see
I got a fever of a hundred and three
Come on baby, do you do more than dance?
Im hot blooded, hot blooded

If it feels alright, maybe you can stay all night
Shall I leave you my key?
But youve got to give me a sign, come on girl, some kind of sign
Tell me, are you hot mama? you sure look that way to me

Are you old enough? will you be ready when I call you bluff?
Is my timing right? did you save your love for me tonight?

Yeah Im hot blooded, check it and see
Feel the fever burning inside of me
Come on baby, do you do more than dance?
Im hot blooded, Im hot blooded, Im hot

Now its up to you, can we make a secret rendezvous?
Oh, before we do, youll have to get away from you know who

Well, Im hot blooded, check it and see
I got a fever of a hundred and three
Come on baby, do you do more than dance?
Im hot blooded, Im hot blooded

Hot blooded, every night
Hot blooded, youre looking so tight
Hot blooded, now youre driving me wild
Hot blooded, Im so hot for you, child
Hot blooded, Im a little bit high
Hot blooded, youre a little bit shy
Hot blooded, youre making me sing
Hot blooded, for your sweet sweet thing

Great song to dance to---especially when you're "putting the moves" on your date...! :P

I lived in the Valley, in Woodland Hills, when this first came out. There was a special dance we did to it. I can remember doing it around the pool in the summer.

My dad lived in the old Oakwood Garden Apartments at Victory and Topanga. It was a swinging singles thing back then. Singles only living there. I would go spend the weekend with him. After all the adults went to bed all the highschool kids would go skinny dip in the jacuzzi. We'd play this song. Lots of fun.

I remember Zappa studios on Ventura Boulevard. Never got to go in. Tried a couple of times. He used to live down in Topanga Canyon. My sister would go see him, Bonnie Rait and Freebo at the Wheel down in the Canyon. I never got to go as I was too young.

Oh, yeah---"Oakwood," I've found out, means something like "luxury" out here (I'm from the East originally, but this August marked my 25th anniversary here). I like the Valley, but like a lot of places in LA County, my perception is that it has been going downhill for the last 15 years or so.

Have you ever been up to More Mesa Beach in Santa Barbara? That is one of my favorite places in the area. That and the beach just south of Montecito. That one is completely uncontrolled too.

It has. That area was actually very nice and very hip when I was about 14 or 15 but it is pretty slummy now. Oakwood is now just a run of the mill valley apartment building. Pretty dreary. A nice place to live in the area is Los Feliz or Silver Lake. If you can't do Santa Monica or Venice, then those are the places to go these days.

Santa Barbara is a piece of heaven here on earth. When my son got it to UCSB, they offered him a bunch of blandishments, including full freight on tuition (here, watch me start to cry now...), to attend. I joked with him that he should demand they lower the drinking age for him too. He didn't go anywhere in state.

Then my daughter got accepted there. She didn't go anywhere in state either... : /

I was there for a while and I really liked it. I would sometimes run from More Mesa to Coal Oil point on the other side of Goleta. You had to do it at low tide, right around sunset in the summer. It really was paradise. I need a lot of space however and it was too expensive in SB. I moved to Santa Paula where I have part of a barn to work in. Morgan lives just north of SB near Ojai.

When I'd go to SB---which hasn't been since my friend's mother who lived there passed away two and a half years ago---I would take 118 or 126 as an alternative to 101. Mighty purty country out thar... ;)

i made the black candle for AKA Stone today. it looks reaaly good. i used lamp black to make the wax black. this doesn't make the candle burn fast like the oil stuff does. there is a thing that fits on a soldering iron that lets you drip wax into a channel very preicsely. i cut stone's name in the candle with an x-acto knife and then dripped the red wax into the channel. i then dipped the whole candle a couple of times in my clear wax. this fused the red name into the black candle perfectly. it looks great.

It has his real name on it doesn't it? I mean it's not going to work if it says "AKA Stone".
