Last night on CBS I stumbled upon an extraodinary documentary. I don't know the whole story about it. It looked like a couple of French film makers - brothers. Gideon and I think the other was, Jules, who were filming a documentary on an American firehouse and just happened to be in the firehouse on 9/11. Maybe many of you have already seen this or are aware of it. It's extraordinary. They go off on the 9/11 call with these fireman and they're in the thick of everything, both inside and outside of the towers. It's interesting to hear some of the firemen right on the tape talking about the "explosions". I didn't see the whole thing unfortunate - I might have missed the first 15 or 20 minutes and I'd love to see the whole thing if it's available. It was incredible watching the two towers fall again from the vantage point of these 2 documentary makers. You could see the fire burning on the top floors from most of the buildings were intact until they just collapsed downward like a paper bag. I don't even know how to describe it....except...this did not look like something that would happen because two planes hit those top floors. They DID look like buildings that I've seen deliberately demolished. A controlled demolition. The type of collapse looked identical to me. Moreover, apparently NOTHING intact was found. One fireman said that this was an entire office building and you could not find an intact desk or cabinet or phone - he found I believe the keypad of a phone and that was the larges identifiable object he found. And someone found Mohammed Atta's passport.....intact? After being on the plane, and then through that collapse of 3 buildings? After seeing this again, I believe a new and independent investigation must be launched as there are far too many questions. To me, this does indeed look like controlled demolition, and there are far more questions besides that. The bottom line is: do you believe that there are people in the Bush administration who are so evil and callous and calculating that they would be willing to kill several thousand Americans to make potentially billions of dollars and to gain unlimited power. I believe the answer is clearly yes. Once you are willing to admit that the answer to that is yes....you must concur that a new, objective investigation is necessary. On a couple of side notes - I heard that BYU is cracking down on Professor Jones. I think they suspended him. Anyone have any info? I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank, in my small way, the fire and policemen of New York City, who showed a nation what true courage, sacrifice and discipline were in the face of an unimaginable hell. Politicians like Bush use these experiences for their own gain, but they would NEVER make any of the sacrifices or perform any of the heroics that these ordinary men would do. They are the heroes of our time.
