thanks for keeping us informed Morgana.

I'm glad you and everyone else who's come over here from there has migrated. that place LP has become an insane place. They have a lot of volume by comparison, but they're insane.

we tend to mostly all have the same views at 4um, we're almost all people who were at one time banned at or got sick of FR. and many of us went through LP as well. but we welcome different points of view.

insanity is not only at LP, but it is descending on our nation.

a righteous person will seek shelter from our creator at this time.

Started reading that thread; stopped when I got to the badeye bullshit comment about the USS Liberty. Appears to his way of thinking, all is just fine because the history channel did a story on it and it should all be blamed on lbj and his hacks.

Sure can't be blaming our alleged 'ally' for deliberately taking out a ship and killing many and wounding many more....nah. Can't have that.

Without knowing any more than what I've read on that thread, I'd say that languid is a professional troll. They like to make inflammatory comments that provoke people to anger, and then play the victim or innocent bystander when someone takes their bait. She will never take responsibility for what she has said, or participate in honest debate.

When I first started posting on FR 8 years ago- these forums were a different place. The internet hadn't come into its own and wasn't understood by the powers that be. FR was a radical free wheeling place full of ideas and I had my ass whipped on more than one occassion in debate and learned a great deal from many different posters. Now it wasn't perfect- there were jerks and assholes back then too. But there was far more real give and take debate. Far more dialogue and geniune discussion going on among posters. One could actually "defeat" someone in a disucssion and the "defeat" would be acknowledged by the other side. We learned from each other.

But now? Sites like El Pee are infested with rote ideologues and shills with an AGENDA. They are not their to learn or debate- but to sling propaganda, slander opponents, and muddy the waters with innanity and illogical non sequiturs.

I used to argue with these people. But about a year to a year and a half ago- I simply realized that these people are not arguing anything. They are not interested in hearing what you have to say. Some are just stupid and can't follow simple linear arguments or construct basic logical syllogisms. They get lost in one or two posts and start reverting to rote standarized slurs or propaganda. Others are just shills. Their goal is time waste and muddy up the waters. I refuse to engage them at all.
