A letter from Osama Bin Laden Hey George! How's it going? Boy, time sure flies. Here we are five years after 9-11-01 and I understand y'all in the US are having quite the observance today, what with all the non-stop media exposure and commerative events and all. That was some disaster, eh? There seems to be no end to the speculation as to who was actually responsible for that infamous day. I hear there's even a growing number of US citizens that think you and your buddies were responsible to some extent. Some people say I did it. There's no shortage of allegedly genuine videos saying I did it or I didn't do it. There's conflicting evidence whether I'm even alive or not! If I did do it, you've got to admit it's not bad for a cave dweller, eh? And if I'm already dead, now that would really be something! Like any good conspiracy, the truth lies somewhere in the middle of all the speculation. I know you're familiar with that idea- John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Pearl Harbor, etc. Those events happened a long time ago and still no one knows the truth and probably never will. But enough chit-chat. My whole point in writing this letter is to say thanks and express my admiration. Thanks for that whole Afghanistan and Iraq invasion thing. As a result, my recruitment goals for terrorists and those willing to die for the cause of wiping out the infidel presence over here are far beyond my wildest projections! If only your armed forces had the same success. With the money we're saving on recruitment we can afford more bombs and bullets to use against your soldiers. And as for admiration- until you came along, I thought I knew something about oppression of my people and having them blindly follow my every whim. But you and that Patriot Act- wow! The way your citizens are falling in line so willingly. Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Well, anywho, gotta run. This moving from cave to cave thing really takes a lot of planning and keeps a guy plumb tuckered out. Please keep in touch and let me know the next time you need a fake video or audio tape- always glad to help. I know your job isn't easy. Keep up the good work!
