Let the site implode into the FR2 echo chamber, and post somewhere where folks are more reasonable, like here.

I haven't posted on LP in over a month, and I won't be posting there anymore.

Honestly.. it's an exercise in futility. How can you 'fight' people who are being paid to post? You're just helping them get a paycheck.. it's a waste of time IMO.. You say it's preaching to the choir.. well not necessarily.. most here DO have a clue.. but everyone who does are at different levels of understanding.. it's not a waste of time whatsoever. I left LP cause being there was a waste of MY time.. just as it was at FR..

I think most here have a good sense of basic reality and are refreshingly free of "isms". El Pee and FR are forums for rote thinking ideologues who first pass everything through an ideological filter that automatically renders them incapable of seeing anything but dim flickers of the truth.

Imagine the truth is a candle reflection on the wall of a deep cave. Well- El Pee'ers and Freakers are outside the cave and all they can see- sometimes- is a flash of light. They fear going into the cave. Their ideological templates tell them the cave is evil (this is the same for Leftwing nuts of the two party fraud). Others however do venture into the cave- some further than others- the shadows cast by the candle clearer to some in the cave than others.

Everyone here- is at least in the cave. We don't have all the answers. We grope about in the dimness and search for it. We certainly don't all agree- and I think some here have some pretty fucked up ideas about what the candle light reveals- but again- at least we are not on threads dismissing everything that challanges our neat and tidy circular logic world with cliche template one liners about the "librul media" or dismissing anything out of hand that doesn't come from some party line rag journal.

That is the 'prediction' of the self described 'truth' factory keeping the other forum with this software interface tiny with people staying away in droves in the face of his oppressive hatred of Islam and his Islamic fundamentalist hatred of women having the vote and jobs outside of the home where he feels they belong. He also is rabid in his screeching of hatred of Hugo Chávez.

He has slipped into boost the Republican mode like he did when he shilled for Bush in 2004 at LP after denouncing him.

Goldi did finally get it right when she ended the Todd/LP hostage situation and he fled in the face of a notice he had to start acting like he was part of a posting community instead of warping the forum to make it his self promoting oyster.

But even then, she was willing to have him there doing his mindless and sloppy work in spite of serious problems he created. He left only because he hated any curbing of his compulsive behavior and promotion of his overblown ego. The problem for casual lurkers who couldn't remove his forum choking mess without use of a bozo/kill file filter was they were not about to sign up with LP looking so unworthy of the investment in time and energy to do so.

I had hoped toddler had wised up and outgrown the compulsion to make sure he empowered the Neo Cons when election time came close. But he hasn't, and if anything he has only gotten worse.
