This is gonna sound kind of crazy, but last night I was dreaming I was on some kind of archaelogical dig and we were trying to dig something out from under the water - something hidden. I think it might have been some kind of Nordic temple, but the Nords (as far as I know) didn't have temples like that, and I think their dwellings were mainly made of wood, which wouldn't survive. Anyway, I was dreaming of boats as well, and then we found some kind of large green shield or shield like object with the name of the god THOR in English letters on it. Then a giant appeared who was pretty pissed off about our looking for this wreck or whatever it was and he was kind of walking around - you know, like giants do. He was apparently the god Thor.

Anyway, I'm not a pagan, and never dream about old gods and such, so I'm wondering - do any of you have any idea of why I would be dreaming of the god Thor???

Yeah, I know....as they say on LP, I should up the meds, lmao, but does this mean anything?

They tipped their wooden boats over and used them for shelter.

Thor was the god of thunder. Any summer lightening? Happy 1st day of Autumn, BTW.

Dak or gengis may have some insight into Thor.

Too many comic books.

LMAO - wow, I haven't seen one of those in years. But now that I think of it, I did love the old animated series about Thor in the 60s. Wasn't he part of League of Justice, or some such outfit like that? Captain America, those guys?

Thor was the god of thunder, war, Joe Sixpack's helper, as well as a force of law (sort of) against the foces of chaos (the giants). Thor was the strong right arm of law (not The Law), whereas Tyr was the speaker of The Law. Sort of a "what's right" versus "what's written in the law" kind of dynamic going on there.

In a pseudo-Freudian sense, it might mean that you've discovered an unexpected area of hidden strength inside yourself while going through issues which have been long abandoned.

Boats have to do with water (the unconscious and/or emotions), travel, messages, commerce, and voyages not necessarily physical.

I don't recall him ever carrying a shield, but if he did I'm sure he'd be vain enough to paint THOR on it with big letters. The fact that he misplaced it or that Loki stole it and hid it from him is not at all surprising.

League of Justice? You're thinking of the Justice League, which was DC comics. Thor was Marvel Comics, and he was an Avenger. And yes, Captain America was one of the Mighty Avengers, too.

Last night I dreamed I was Badeye. I was in an office buiding and I had to take a leak worse than I ever had to in my life. I couldn't find a bathroom and was getting desperate. I finally ran out into some bushes, whipped open my pants and was suddenly horrified to recall that I was Badeye and had no (ahem) equipment with which to take a leak. There was nothing there.

At this point I woke up in a cold sweat.

After I woke up from the last dream, I went back to sleep and again dreamed I was Badeye.

This time I was standing on my back porch on a lovely sunny summer morning. I felt the warm sun caressing my body.

From inside the house my wife called to me and asked me if it was raining outside. Tried to say no, but the words just wouldn't come out.

My wife kept calling to me and asking if it was raining. I kept trying to say no but the words wouldn't come. She was starting to get angry.

I finally had an idea. I decided to ask her to turn on Fox News and see if Bush thought it ought to be raining outside. When I tried this, the words came out perfectly. My wife however still seemed miffed. She replied: "This isn't LP you dolt!".

Again I woke up in a cold sweat.

Oh, I completely forgot - the old Nordics did have a race of giants in their beliefs, didn't they? And the gods fought against them. Hmmmm....would that be Gotterdamerung? Maybe I was getting a peak at the End of the World. It wasn't too spectacular. I should go back to sleep and see how it ends.

Ah, but if you were really Badeye you would have told her yes and that it was Clinton's fault.
