I love it when we are "almost" off the "grid".

Thankfully our cable company had the sense to bury their lines out in these "sticks" and rarely go out of service...

I think ole time country music sounds best on AM radio with the crackle of static in the background myself.

Without a doubt, it "sets the mood"...

I saw somewhere that one of those labels, maybe Arhoolie, actually adds crackling to its CDs to get the flavor of old 78s. Might be apocraphyl, but who knows.

I think ole time country music sounds best on AM radio with the crackle of static in the background myself.

In all honesty, it's not so bad to set the vinyl down on the player, and let the cracks play between the songs... scratches, cracks & pops.. whatever... it's almost better with the noise, as testimony, to it's times. I really wouldn't want it any other way.. Though I do enjoy re-mastered tapes to remove the noise.. still.. It's part of our heritage.. and I like it.. :)
