I have mixed feelings. I don't want to see anything happen to New York, but it's one way to get rid of the UN.

If all the New Yorkers clear out, maybe it'll be a tiny Nuke, and only the UN will be impacted.

THAT would be a good thing.

I too would like the UN gone. But not New Yorkers.

The pubbies use the UN for all purposes: Whipping boy when the world criticizes them; misdirection when their own corruption starts to stink; and, legitimization when they want to something clearly illegal.

I can't recall prominent neocons calling precisely for that though.

I think the worst/best Kristol has ever said about the UN is that he would be "open" to US withdrawal.
