It looks like I took the challenge from Minerva a few weeks ago to post my personal webpage upon 4um. I didn't realize all the rest of you posters were chickenshit to do the same. I never referenced this feature before and thought EVERYONE had done the same.

What gives?

My real name is Buck. My family name is Roo. My middle initial "e" comes from the fact that my grandfather was named Edgar. Hence Buckeroo.

What a coincidence!

My real name is Quintana Roo!

squirrel fishing

That's kind of awful. I made friends with the squirrels in my neighborhood as a kid. There was an albino squirrel, and one regular brown one who would come eat out of my hand, it was very tame, looked a lot like the poor squirrel in your picture.

I didn't know that there was space available on 4-um to post a Web Page. What's the trick?

If I might make a suggestion, would be nice to be able to push a photo up to your server, without needing a hosting service to post it to. If you were to provide that, I'd gladly put my pic up. Not that I'm particularly pretty... but could give everyone a good laugh...

Okay, I've posted a few pix of me in my misspent youth in various threads, so, after reading your challenge I did upload a recent pic to my homepage.

No, it's an decidedly unkosher PIGNOSE HOG 20

It's a rechargeable battery-powered practice amp.

It does resemble a vintage Gibson, though.

From that distance it does.

A friend of mine just picked up one of the old Gibsons in mint shape. It even has the tags on it. I think he paid five bucks for it. A huge bargain.

Funny!

Well, as luck would have it, Delaware is so small that if you fly into Philly airport, come to DE then turn right you're at my house! Just roll your window down and listen for twangy guitar music!

Our motto is THANK GOD FOR RHODE ISLAND! ;) (otherwise, we'd be the tiniest and the most polluted)

If I might make a suggestion, would be nice to be able to push a photo up to your server, without needing a hosting service to post it to.

It is possible to attach files to a web form (the comment and article posting pages are web forms) which works much the same as attaching a file to an email. It's rarely used in the internet world but has been around for the last 10 years or so, so all modern web browsers have the functionality built in.

It can be done. In addition to adding that functionality, I'd probably have to guard against massive files being uploaded, and the current default size is some 500K or 700K. Site admins would need to be assured it's not obscene or otherwise inappropriate, so a review/approval mechanism would probably be in order after a file is uploaded but before it's permitted on-line.

I wouldn't expect profile shots of size 30-60K to add anything significant to bandwidth, assuming they'd be only occasionally referenced.

That's what I see. If someone's interested in paying me for the work I'll add it in and make it a priority item.

Speaking of work, yes I still have a to-do list with the mail and all.... Been busy. (It's amazing how busy one can be without the 9-5 job).
