As the drumbeat of mass deception is heard once more in the land, prudent people should read a paper, "The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy," by two eminent professors from Harvard University's Kennedy School and from the University of Chicago. Their thesis is that our unconditional support of Israel has helped turn a hopeful experiment in democracy into a rogue apartheid state.

As the president and vice president, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and the other neocon agents of deception begin a run-up to another anti-Arab war, this paper details the history of our failed foreign policy. Professors John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt should be commended for their courage in the face of certain charges of anti-Semitism.

Any analysis of the events of Sept. 11, 2001, which does not clearly record that Osama bin Laden stated that he was inspired to attack New York by watching the U.S. Navy shell Lebanese apartment towers, avoids the truth.

It might be true as well, as was observed by David Ben-Gurion, the first prime minister and first defense minister of Israel, that "If I were an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: We have taken their country . . . We come from Israel, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been anti-Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: We have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that?"

It is also undeniably true that the root of our dispute with Iran was when, in 1953, our CIA deposed their democratically elected leader, Mohammed Mossadegh. We replaced that national hero with the brutal and corrupt Shah.

When the Iranian people had enough of the brutal CIA-trained SAVAK secret police, they took to the streets, captured our embassy and took their country back under the leadership of Muslim clergy. Their reasonable request for security guarantees that they will not again be attacked by the United States has fallen on deaf ears in the Bush administration, which is howling for another misguided pre-emptive war based on another mass deception, similar to the specious rhetoric that justified the failed Iraq war.

No wonder Iranians feel that they may need "the bomb" to secure their freedom.

It is certainly true that we have driven Lebanon into the arms of Hezbollah, Gaza into the arms of Hamas, Iraq into a brutal civil war, Afghanistan into the grip of a resurgent Taliban, and our moderate Arab friends into a frenzied fear of uprisings from the Arab street. We have made Arab heroes of Hassan Nasrallah, Muqtada al-Sadr, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and, surprisingly, even Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Our foolish faith-based foreign policy has united our enemies and divided our friends, precisely the definition of diplomatic failure.

Perhaps they hate us not because we love freedom, but because we finance and justify a state in their midst that has been condemned by human rights organizations for war crimes, from torture to the recent cluster-bombing of civilian housing. This state has arrested 56 Gazan elected legislative officials, shut off fuel, food, water, electricity and medical supplies from more than a million people imprisoned behind an obscene wall, and shelled and rocketed them with impunity from American-supplied helicopters because they democratically elected the "wrong" government.

There were no suicide bombers until absolute hopelessness pervaded the Arab cause. These brutalized youths echo the words of an old Negro spiritual: "Before I'll be a slave, I'll be buried in my grave, and go home to my Lord and be free."

Freedom-loving people can understand Revolutionary War hero Nathan Hale, who said upon a gallows, "I regret that I have but one life to give for my country."

Those who are not willing to again go to war on a pack of lies should Google "The Israel Lobby, John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt."

The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy,"

Yes, as we all know, they are called Neocons. And, they control the US government. To end that, see my statement of purpose on my 4um webpage, and remember that this war in the middle east has been in the planning for a looooong time.

The Talmudic Khazar-Jew dream; Christians killing Muslims and Muslims killing Christians. What could be better than that? Well, Whites killing non-Whites and non-Whites killing Whites, of course.

Accept it?

They have not and will never accept Israel.

The rest of the world needs to depart the ME and let locals sort it out the best they can, with or without war.
