In the following video, Snow seems to be playing down the Foley scandal, telling reporters, "Yeah, look, I hate to tell you but it's not always pretty up there on Capitol Hill. There have been other scandals, as you know, that have been more than simply naughty emails." Snow's "naughty emails" remark occurs around 5:28 into the video.
The scandal involving Congressman Foley and a teenaged Capitol Hill page is nothing more than "naughty emails", says White Press Secretary Tony Snow.

Had this been some moron who taught school, or worked at a bank, that exchanged these sort of e-mails with a minor, and you'd have the asshole in chains, and arrested as a pedophile. YET... When a member of Congress, or a Senator does something, it's just naughty behavior. Give me a fucking break. There are two sets of laws. One for them, and one for the rest of us, and the rest of us are pretty goddamned tired of these prick bastards not telling the truth. ALL of the bastards who hid this shit, or who are currently waiting to be exposed for the sickos they are, should immediately resign, and or be arrested for the laws that they've broken. My GOD... How is it that these people have gotten so far, and yet the honest and decent people of this country cannot seem to make headway? Because corruption equals CONTROL. If I remember correctly, wasnt it Foley that asked the programmer to put a backdoor in the Diebold voting machines?
Just taking into account his performance as a spin artist and paid liar- I would say Snow is just damn bad at his job. Dismissing pick up attempts of teen boys over the internet as "naughty emails" is just downright creepy. That didn't help Tony.

Yes- but if you are going to be a shill - be as good a shill as you can be. Snow is a dumb shill. A smart shill would say "of course this is atrocious and we are outraged but there have been other similiar scandals on the other side of the aisle. We will get to bottom of this I assure you!" What you don't do, especially when it comes to something like this, that people take damn seriously - is seem to make light of it or be dismissive of it by calling perved out attempts to solicit sex from underage boys over the internet as "naughty emails." That is like BEGGING to be hit harder by your mugger. He is asking for it. Now- this is a country in which a shill can dismiss beating the shit out of prisoners to the point of murdering them as "Frat pranks"- but something about sex? Gay sex? Teen Boys? Ooooh boy- you don't play with that. You don't shrug your shoulders and say "no big deal" on something like that. Snow doesn't know his audience. They will overlook murdering people during torture and laugh about that- but not a queermo trying to score with teen boys.
What you don't do, especially when it comes to something like this, that people take damn seriously - is seem to make light of it or be dismissive of it that is the way it works with normal people, but it might be that they are not even trying to justify this with normal, rational people. they have given up on them. they might be speaking to the die hard 30%. pedophilia is the one thing that could turn this core group away from the GOP. nothing else could. bush depends upon this group to survive. goldi has an explanation for the entire matter: 8. LOL. Pelosi? A "Pelosi power grab?"? Yeah- the two party fraud explains this one! Give me a break. You can't get any further away from the truth than if you tried. Why not say Islamofascists are behind this? That makes about as much sense as saying Pelosi is behind it. Goldi's "analysis" on most things is beyond parody.
