It is interesting, though, and would make for the kind of October surprise that would give cover to a massive Diebolding; "War brings Republicans to the support of their party, exit polls prove unreliable again..." that sort of thing...

I think this has already been achieved through manipulation of the gasoline price downward by 30 percent in two months.

I agree the massive Diebolding will take place, but they don't need more than one explanation. The lower gas price will suffice.

I don't agree. To cover massive Diebolding you have to explain a large and sudden shift between the time of the last pre-vote polls and the vote itself. That requires a major event, like a Bin Laden tape last time, which occurs literally on the eve of the election.

Such an event might involve the sinking of a US aircraft carrier, for example. Iran has lots of anti-ship missiles, and we are definitely moving our ships within range. If we were to strike their "nucular" facilities and they retaliate against a carrier conveniently within range just a couple of days before the election, such an event would cover a large change in the votes, inexplicable otherwise.

Stock Market "Put Options" Before Oct. 6 May Indicate Market Collapse

Would someone please explain what a put option is? I just looked it up but still don't understand it, said the right to sell at a set price, but what does that imply here? Does it have to do with selling short, bargaining that a price will go way down (I think)? I would like to understand this better, I know the market is very high right now.

Basically, that's it. I can buy an option to sell 100 shrs of IBM at a price of 80 within a specified time period. If IBM drops to 60 before the option expires, I can then sell that option for a profit since I own the "right" to sell a 60 stock at 80.

Well to sane people you would have to explain it, but not to the wingnuts. Go check out their posts about pollsters such as Zogby and of course any poll done by the 'librul media'. Any poll that doesn't affirm their beliefs is automatically suspect and considered part of a Democrat conspiracy.
