My brother got me the new Peltor hearing-protection device - outstanding product.
loddy I went last spring! It is a truly awesome experiance accompanied by the best (and most) vendors I've ever seen anywhere. The link for the shoot is below: There's a ClassIII machine gun/destructive device builder in east Texas who my brother says takes pallet-loads of ammo to this shoot - it must be awesome to behold in person.
That's funny it works the other way too. I went there for a pallet-load of ammo and wasn't disappointed.
Damn - and here I was thinking that I was well-supplied...
Yeah, you are. Last spring I was looking for ammo for that dreaded purple rifle I'm sure you've seen and there wasn't any to be found, didn't want to relegate a weapon I love to shoot to wallhanging curio status. I went to the show picked some up on the cheap. I figured it was an investment as much as anything else, as such it's up 20+% since spring. Buy the time I was done buying 1 day before the show was over, there wasn't any left in that Cal..
Sorry I missed you as I'm not too far from there at all.
I know, we've met twice in the District of Criminals, those were differnt times. I was visiting my sisters farm in central KY and am still considering buying one there. Maybe next time.
Check out the Lake Cumberland area, if you have any interest in huge lakes - my SIL has a place there and it is wonderful. Drop dead gorgeous.
I'm sure I missed a great oppertunity not buying your dad's place. I was looking for more acres and higher yield (big shot talk from a dumbass city boy) it doesn't seem that important now.
